More than 100,000 residents in Switzerland have signed a petition demanding that the government ensure a minimum monthly income of nearly $2,800 (2,500 Swiss francs) for all adults in the country.
The 120,000 signatures are enough to formally call a vote in the government over whether or not to approve the CHF 2,500 monthly for everyone" (Grundeinkommen) funding proposal.
Funding for the proposed measure would come out of the Swiss social insurance system, which already guarantees universal health care coverage for its citizens, along with other benefits designed to uphold the countrys social safety net.

Funding for the proposed measure would come out of the Swiss social insurance system, I propose to fund it with a $2,800 per month flat tax.

Who knows what America would be like today if JFK had not been elected, leading to Vietnam and the 1965 immigration act and unionizing federal employees and permanently emptying the mental hospitals to create the homeless.

If they ALL work 40hrs/week (trust but verify) it may be doable. At least they will be too busy to deflower young women.

So just how many Swiss are below the poverty line? Isn’t the crime rate in Switzerland practically non existent? And how many Amish are within their borders?

In he 1950’s when I first visited there our 25 cent piece (quarter) and their Frank, both silver coins of the same size, were worth the same. Today 2500 SF worth $2800 ?
Should have held on to those SFs.....
