A new rally is forming, “Million Vet March On The Memorials” that will be held 9am October 13, 2013 at the war memorials in Washington D.C.
The group is fed up with veterans being used as political pawns and are calling all patriots to attend, via their facebook page:
We are all military brats, current and former military spouses and some veterans. We cannot express how utterly disappointed we were that our Greatest Generation were being used as political pawns in the ongoing government shutdown and budget crisis. This should never be the case.
We do not care what political leanings you may be; be it liberal, conservative, Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, Independent or whatever. The actions of the U.S. government this week with regard to barricading and shutting down the World War II Memorial to veterans, that may or may not be on their last trip to Washington DC, is a despicable act of cowardice.
Veterans this week were unwillingly pitted as pawns in this crisis. We feel that this should never be the case. This is why we will go to Congress after the budget crisis and ask for a bill to be introduced that would prevent any member of the government from closing our memorials down to any American, except for maintenance purposes. In the meantime, we will have our March in Washington DC on October 13th! Our veterans deserve that!
Many in our group have decided that enough is enough. We are Americans. We are proud of our heritage and our service. As all of us were military brats and spouses, we have served in some form or another our entire lives. This is our way of life. We will not stand by and let the U.S. government dishonor the legacy of sacrifice of the generations before us. It is time to make a stand! We hope that you will join us in our peaceful protest against anti-American policies.

Absolutely right, and why just truckers and vets to DC. Everyone should march on DC if they can, otherwise march on Fed facilities elsewhere. Find your local barrycades and overwhelm them with numbers. Ask the police manning them to call in sick.
I am in the Atlanta area and willing to organize our local troops.
Folks, ya gotta get the news out to Drudge, Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin, Red State, the Daily Caller...etc....etc....etc.!!! Obama hates the USA military and his recent actions prove it without doubt. And....ditto for the entire Democrat Party!!! Obama knows absolutely zilch about American History and could not care less!!!
I hope ten million Americans turn out, along with Bikers, supporters, and folks of all political types that love our country and honor the service, dedication and devotion of our military veterans!!! Obama certainly does not...and ditto for the entire Democrat Party!!! Americans, the time has come to flush the vile enemies of the USA down the toilet into the filthy cesspool where they rightfully belong!!!
Please.....play up this patriotic march....and....may our loving Almighty Father in Heaven bless each and everyone of these greatest Americans, and their families, for their love of country and their magnificent service to keep us all safe and free!!! Lord...hear our prayers!!! Obama/Democrats surely do not love you....but, We, The Vast Majority Of The American People, love and respect you dearly, with all of our heart & souls!!!
If it's not a group with...
1. A clear objective and goal,
2. Experience in logistics to set up such an event (including permits, venues, ability to guarantee lodging availability and transport availability, and has funding (and sponsors) and insurance at hand, and,
3. A proven ability to take care of our precious older vets, start to finish...
Then, it is a prescription for failure.
Mass events need much prior planning.
I hope to be wrong (and corrections cheerfully invited), but this appears to be pot-banging and wishful thinking
It might be an excellent idea, let's take time to do it right!
Might be there a little over a week later if the area is still accessible. Want to visit those monuments themselves. Just to honor all those who gave their lives. My plan will be to park outside the city and ride in on a bike. You can have much more latitude with a mountain bike. Especially with all those auto deploying road barriers.
Simple!
If you have served in the US Military, be at your nearest US Post Office at 9 AM EST on 10-13-13.
Stay outside for as long as you like.
Military dress is optional. ( - - - hope mine still fits!)
Tricorned hats, Gadsden flags and loud singing of Military and Patriotic songs would deepen the meaning for our Veterans of all of our Wars - - - .
BTW, keep in mind that it was the politicians that started these Wars.
Now we stand united to oppose the politicians who are trying to prevent us from honoring those Military Patriots who died for us.

What current employees of the Federal government would willingly use violent force to enforce confiscation of personal property that would accompany Martial Law?
The way I see it: We outnumber them. There are more Americans who consider government the enemy, than not. Americans who want Obama and leftism to have its way are a minority, maybe a third. They are represented nearly three-fold by an MSM that is about 99 percent ignorant leftist. And ginned, harvested, manufactured, and plain fraudulent votes edge leftism into elected office. Americans are primed to accept the results of an imaginary majority that "votes for Santa Claus." The real majority thinks Obama stinks.
How many brothers and sons, uncles and old classmates, sisters and daughters with women in the military and law enforcement now -- how many would obey such an order?
Of all times to have faith in our fellow Americans, it's now.
