Rep Randy Neugebauer confronted a park ranger at the WW II Memorial. Anderson takes a look at the video.

You linked to CNN and Anderson Cooper without a Barf alert?
Two insolent federal “employees” barking at an elected U.S. Congressman as if they outrank him?
NPS management gotta be shakin’ in their boots. They just became a big, big target: Park Service police are supposed to be overpaid tour guides. “Don’t touch that big kitty, sonny”.
Lawless government has turned law enforcement against the citizens. Perfect powder keg. Law enforcement need to ask themselves where their loyalties lie: with their unconstitutional bosses or with the people who they’re sworn to protect and serve. This reminds me of how Bane manipulated the police “The Dark Knight Rises.”
Why is this Park Ranger even there? She should be at home without pay if the government is shutdown. She serves no useful purpose standing around pissing people off.I think your last sentence answered the question of your first sentence. :)
Aka obama doesn't care about fiscal responsibility (in fact, he is trying his best to bankrupt America). The low information /government elitist (too little information to know which applies) park service goon was sent there specifically by the aka obama machine to inflict maximum pain on the public.
The good Representative probably misfired slightly by directing his well founded ire at such a low level goon (who might be a mere coward acting under threat of loss of her job). In hindsight he should have asked her to identify the higher level government goon who required her to be there and then maybe quizzed her about the obvious hypocrisy of the ruse in "costs savings" justifying assigning so many more park personnel than for normal operations in order to shut down the memorial.
Still, hindsight is always 20/20, so, under the circumstances, I look completely favorably upon the actions of Representative Neugebauer.
Anderson Pooper-scooper, who is an actual "tea bagger" and bona fide degenerate is completely clueless (whether he's acting or actually that stupid) about the strength of the real Tea Party. Aka obama has really stepped in it this time.
Agree. This NPS employee probably did not make this decision .
Congresscritter should seek out 1,2,3 steps up the chain to demand
why static OPEN AREA monuments are restricting walk-ups.
Ones that dont require ‘admittance’ like viz centers or museums.
If the NPS employee in the vid , did it on her own- well then thats a different story right there. If i was Reid , i would
call on Rs to “quit attacking federal employees doing their job,” (”and thanks CNN for that news tip”!) /s
And the sign said anybody caught trespassin' would be shot on sight
So I jumped on the fence and-a yelled at the house:
"Hey! What gives you the right?"
"To put up a fence to keep me out or to keep mother nature in."
"If God was here he'd tell you to your face, Man, you're some kinda sinner."
So the leftists in the 1960s and early 1970s would have considered the park ranger a sinner. Today, to the left, they are saints.
Neugebauer should have responded to that bike helmeted guy that ‘he voted to fully fund his job and not furlough him’.
“Law enforcement need to ask themselves where their loyalties lie: with their unconstitutional bosses or with the people....”
.
That would be an embarrassing question for most of them.
"For anyone with a modicum of self-respect, it's difficult to imagine how even the twerpiest of twerp bureaucrats would consent to stand at a crowd barrier and tell a group of elderly soldiers who've flown in from across the country that they're forbidden to walk across a piece of grass and pay their respects. Yet, if any National Parks Service employee retained enough sense of his own humanity to balk at these instructions or other spiteful, petty closures of semi-wilderness fishing holes and the like, we've yet to hear about it."
"Alas, the court eunuchs of the Obama media cannot rouse themselves even on behalf of the nation's elderly warriors."
“The good Representative probably misfired slightly by directing his well founded ire at such a low level goon”
Not ‘slightly’ from a public relations standpoint. It’s being seen as a big guy (Congressman) picking on a low level Park Ranger just doing her job.
I’d already seen the story(from a lib perspective) posted at Facebook, with Neugebauer referred to as a “d....bag.” Not good. Republicans have to be very careful about everything they say and do. There IS a double standard and they should know it.
The first day, I somewhat bought into the argument that they're good guys just doing their job. But as it's escalated instead of abandoning the closings as mis-guided, the NPS rangers following these orders are now the problem.
That guard with the German Shepard? How does she look in the mirror without spitting on it? If they don't refuse to close access to these memorials, they are the problem and deserve nothing but our contempt.
The Congressman was spot on!...and the Ranger SHOULD be ashamed of herself!
Cooper can go pound sand!
It's ramping up, folks
Yeah, I don’t buy that ‘just a lowly peon doing my job’ argument either.
Everyone has to take a side.
You either believe in the ideas of America, or you piss them away by just doing your job.
Let us take a stand and teach our kids to take stands also, so they will not make these mistakes and think they are just doing their jobs.
Anderson Cooper has other men stick themselves in his backside. Yea, I’m going to listen to him.
Thanks magellan.
It’s the uniform and a badge. Barney Fife syndrome.
You have to call them out. You have to ask them who they think the good guys are in this, and who they think the bad guys are. Ask them if they think the Park Rangers are the good guys. If they say yes, ask them why they think 90-year old WWII vets are the bad guys.
These are the facts. In every binary confrontation, sides must be chosen.
ok, I probably wasn’t clear. Everyone thinks the Vets are fabulous. Everyone loves that.
They just thought that as a Congressman, high level government official, Neugebauer was acting like a bully toward a low level Park Ranger. No low level Park Ranger made the decision or voted on the govt shutdown, nor did any low level Park Ranger decide which sites would be closed or how they’d be closed. By bullying, or seeming to bully, such a low level person, he lost the PR battle
