The police managed to total that car on their own.

The Capitol Police car struck an in-ground barrier that had been launched because of the chase. So, it had nothing to do with any driving deficit on the officer’s part...

Are you saying the police car was operating autonomously?

I’m saying the barrier was launched at the precise time that it smashed the Capitol Police car when it was in pursuit. Not the way that system is supposed to operate. Those barriers are meant to stop perps, not the cops. There was an inadvertent but major screw up there, but no fault of the driver who, as mentioned earlier, had to be extracted via Jaws of Life.
