Yesterday, the Obama Administration got real petty over the partial government shutdown, sending employees to barricade memorial sites around Washington that are normally open 24/7.
Thankfully, one group of WWII vets wasn't having ANY of it - removing barricades, with the help of fantastic GOP Reps. like Steve King (R-IA) and others - and refusing to be denied access to THEIR World War II Memorial.
Well today, another group of WWII vets plan to do the same thing at the Lincoln Memorial, as Weasel Zippers reports...
The same veterans group that managed to storm the gates at the WWII memorial yesterday is planning taking on the fences at the Lincoln Memorial today. This sounds like a capitol idea, pun intended.Members of Congress are reaming Obama over the disgraceful barricading of these open-air public memorials.Both memorials are open air memorials. The Lincoln Memorial is open 24 hours a day, normally. If you’ll recall, it was wide open to having someone throw green paint on it in the evening a few months ago.
So that means the Obama administration is making a conscious effort to spend more in time and money to shut off something which is normally open.
How ridiculous is this effort by President Obama to make the people “hurt” so he can blame it on Republicans, just as he did with the sequester, which was also his idea?
We still don’t have access to the White House, the people’s house, allegedly because of the sequester, although Obama has spent countless of our millions since then on vacations, parties and golf.
When you have the opportunity to pass bills for veterans and national parks,unconnected to Obamacare, and then don’t pass them, or spend more to close spaces then to keep them open, the reason is simply you want to continue to have people feel the pain.
And that, Mr. President, is sick.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) blasted the administration for trying to block the World War II vets yesterday, saying “some idiot in government sent goons out there to set up barricades.”
This morning those same "goons" - who somehow are on the job despite most certainly being "non-essential" - were setting up fresh barricades around major open-air memorial sites around D.C. (see photo below of their activities at the WWII Memorial around 9am).
As with his absurdly shutting off the "Panda Cam" at the National Zoo - which is already fully-funded by the Ford Motor Company Fund - Obama is using the shutdown as a political tool, just as he disgracefully did with the Sequestration.
Remember, during the sequestration - in fact, before it even took effect - Obama's DHS insanely , citing non-existent budget cuts. Those released aliens contained dozens of violent criminals, most of whom are still at large.
SWA salutes the "Greatest Generation" vets who stormed the beaches, for taking on Obama's goons by storming the memorials this week. We urge anyone in the D.C. Metro area to JOIN THEM, and refuse to be barred from the People's Memorials by political games.

He is getting tired of being nice, and as I predicted a couple of months ago, he is beginning to spin out of control. His brain is finally going to show America what an imposter he really is. He is like a mainspring that is wound too tightly. He will explode before long, and it will be his own doing.
This “petty” stuff with “take THAT, America” is the outward beginning of his downfall. Hide and watch...and make sure you have plenty of popcorn, as it will be a good, long show...

Well this is what is to be expected when an ADMITTED foreign born Islamic Marxist is twice unconstitutionally elected to the nations highest office. What we got here is a enemy foreign agent hellbent on the destruction of the US and incredibly nobody in Congress calls for his impeachment. What has he accomplished other than destroying the US from within while helping to empower and spread radical Islam? What else has he done except that? Oh he plays golf and goes on vacation..but what else? That is ALL he has done since DAY ONE. You might get some people who will say “Oh well he killed Bin-Laden”...Oh really, show me proof of that. To date we haven’t seen so much as a photo.
Truth be known, the impeachment action has been approved. Don’t ask me to prove it, but watch for it.
He could not have gotten where he is without help, and the people who have aided him will spend a long eternity regretting their choices.
What we DO know about “Bin Laden” is that most of the men involved in that action are not around to talk about it. So now what? How long will it take for all of the ca-ca to surface from this travesty??? I hope I live long enough to see them all get what’s coming to them!

That is exactly what was on my mind when I said “following orders” is the right thing for these federal employees to do today, but things could change with an illegal order, such as shooting veterans.
I am quite aware that the political and military leadership of 1930s America, given the violent revolutions of Europe, had good reason to suspect the motives of at least some in the Bonus Army who may have been sympathetic to socialist agendas or worse. The least that can be said is radical organizers were trying to manipulate the Bonus Army for their own ends; since the Bonus Army failed, we probably will never know for sure whether the radical elements were a tiny group or had the ability to take effective control of the leadership of the movement.
Nobody is going to make a reasonable case that World War II veterans in their 80s and 90s are attempting a violent overthrow of the government. That's flat-out crazy talk.
If President Obama does not treat these veterans with the respect they deserve, he will quickly lose support even in his own political party — and Sen. Claire McCaskill won't be the only person standing with the vets rather than with her party's leadership.
As I said on a different Free Republic thread today, “I don’t care whether we win via the front door or the back door as long as Obamacare gets kicked out the door.”
That is the message we need to send to our elected officials, both Republicans and Democrats, and it is the way to get to the 50 percent we need to win this thing.
Sadly, he not only looks at himself in the mirror, he likes what he sees in it. His ego is massive. And it is in inverse proportion to his actual abilities.

Every one of them, from students to actors to journalists to the first black President, have all stated they LOATHE the military.

My thoughts too, but I have no research to back it up; at that time, though, the IWW (International World Workers - one of many Communist party affiliates) was heavily agitating throughout the country and the unions.
And you have to figure, with a little extrapolation, that they were mixed in with the Bonus crowd, using mob tactics and agitation to provoke confrontations with the powers that be - after all, what better way to show how “evil” the “capitalist” government by “oppressing the workers”... blah blah.
Agitprop works. They were/are masters of it.
THIS situation, however, is vastly different. These antics are really hurting supporters of a shutdown. You can’t scream, “Shut down the government!” then add “Except for the parts I like!”.
It has to be all or nothing or all. If we start appeasing special interests groups, eventually everyone becomes a special interest group and none of the government is shutdown.
