Robert Sarvis continues climb in polls
The Examiner ^ | 10/1/13 | Matthew Reece

On Sept. 30, Newsmax/Zogby Polling released a poll of the gubernatorial race in Virginia. The race now appears to be nearly tied, with Democrat Terry McAuliffe, a former chairman of the national Democratic Party, leading Republican Ken Cuccinelli, the current attorney general of Virginia, by a margin of 32.5 percent to 32.4 percent. 24.3 percent are undecided, while 10.8 percent support another candidate.

But when Libertarian candidate Robert Sarvis is named as a choice, he gets 12.7 percent of the vote, with McAuliffe at 32.2 percent and Cuccinelli at 27.4 percent.

Among 18-to-29-year-olds, the difference is far more pronounced. A two-candidate poll finds Cuccinelli at 46.0 percent and McAuliffe at 26.7 percent, while a three-candidate polling finds McAuliffe at 28.8 percent, Cuccinelli at 23.2 percent, and Sarvis at 21.6 percent. Like most Libertarian candidates, Sarvis performs exceptionally well among voters younger than 30.

This result, along with a Bearing Drift poll from last week showing Sarvis at 10.8 percent, should be sufficient to allow Sarvis to debate alongside Cuccinelli and McAuliffe....

This site considers the sodomite agenda and the baby-killing agenda to be relevant, as a conservative, not libertarian site. Did you not read the rules? It doesn't support any designated Republican, which is not synonymous with conservative.

So, Sarvis is a rat plant I take it?
(yawn)
The Republicans have to get smart enough to launch third party candidacies of communists who can steal away votes from the Democrats.
You know, “Green Party” candidates. Fight fire with fire or die.

And no, I am not holding my breath for the Republicans to suddenly get smart.

Hopefully, this pro-kill liberal-tarian will only take votes from McAuliffe.

Go Ken!

>> Eh, yeah, whatever. I’m focused on the relevant issue:

FWIW, you’re going to have a hard time dancing around the “homosexual agenda” at FR especially when advancing Libertarian candidates.

I stand in defense of conservative libertarianism which is a challenge. Defending liberal-libertarianism will prove to be impossible.

If the GOP would do its job and actually BE conservative libertarian instead of bashing them at every turn, the liberal libertarians wouldn’t be a problem.

But then the GOP would actually be a true alternative second party instead of a “we can do statism too but with more efficiency”, lip service to pro life and border control, wing of the Progressive Democrats.

A good portion of the GOP is liberal; Democrats that want little to do with the Leftists that overtook their party.

"Top 3 Reasons Libertarians Should Vote Cuccinelli" BUMP

(beside the fact that Sarvis is a horrible candidate - C'mon Man!)

1. SARVIS DRAINS VOTES FROM CUCCINELLI

2. THE BUCKLEY RULE FOR LIBERTARIANS

3. MCAULIFFE IS AWFUL (do you REALLY want him in the VA Gov office?!)

Ken Cuccinelli IS conservative. Libertarians should be supporting him at every turn. Robert Sarvis is only helping McAuliffe?!

Most of that support is due to Cuccinelli and the GOP embracing big government and thus alienating Libertarians and libertarians within the GOP.

Should the GOP ever re embrace small government, personal liberty and self determination, gadflies like the one in this race will vanish. Continue the present course and continue to lose by ever larger margins. Stop trying to appeal to Democrats and start reaching out to Libertarians and libertarians.
