For the first time in more than a decade, I have something completely real to believe in. There are no lies, no posturing, no equivocation. Just the complete and honest patriotic truth. And, I would give the world for that.

We’ll see if these “conservatives” show up at the primary polls and can find a conservative candidate’s name on the ballot that they recognize. But millions will still think “It’s Jebbie’s turn.”

All it takes is someone to have a strong conservative conviction and follow thru. Anyone in the GOP since Reagan could have easily held this position. Cruz and Lee are the only ones at this time. Perhaps those numbers will grow. Rand Paul is too flaky to be reliable.

A man of character, who will probably make a few mistakes over the years, but one you can trust to be making the choices based on what he deemed to be the BEST choice at the time. Hiind-sight is always better, but wisdom comes with listening to that still small voice inside that keeps one on the right track, and being honest. Admit mistakes and seek forgiveness and be true to what you believe. Cruz knew the risks involved. He stood when he was being battered by the majority of the party. He is another Margaret Thatcher, in that sense. He’ll still be hated by those who will not want the party to hold to its party planks, but the base, the real voters know character when they see it. We are the ones whose voices count. He is a man of the people. We need to continue to pray for him. You know that the party elites, the media and the left will do everything they can to take him out.

“Among the conservative voters, Cruz is the leading choice for the GOP nomination. He won 34 percent of that group. But he also shows remarkable crossover as 32 percent of the “very liberal” crowd also prefer him.”

Just goes to show the GOPe Karl Rove propaganda outpost is total BS when they say real conservatives cannot win.

People want a LEADER. Cruz is that leader.

This is really good news in the midst of a lot of dreary establishment GOP dribble.

If people of most persuasions (except the lunatic Left) listen to Ted Cruz they will like him. He has common-sense positions that are spoken in plain English by an unpretentious man. He’s a no-brainer nominee for 2016 who will dispel the notion that conservative beliefs are “extreme”.

What is this "are now conservative" garbage? More like, we're still where we were, and the leadership of the party swerved left with Bushes, Roves, and McMavericks.

I am not "now" conservative any more than I'm "now" more male than I was last decade.

Carter gave us Reagan. Obama gives us Cruz? That would be awesome.

Cruz vs Hillary is not a good idea... The media will easy just paint him as another white male the GOP is running against the poor harmless female... You guys do know that over half the country does not vote based on policy or reputation, right?

So 76% of conservatives don’t care what the constitution says about who is eligible for president. Just as long as they get the person they want. Sounds and awful lot like what I used to call a democrat to me.

I have nothing against Cruz. In fact I think he should be someone important like Speaker of the House. But I will not be a hypocrite.
