Karl Rove, normally a critic of Ted Cruz, complimented the freshman senators marathon speech and said he had positioned himself well for 2016.
I obviously dont agree with the strategy . . . of trying to defund [Obamacare] as opposed to trying to delay . . . but that was an extraordinary performance, Rove said
-snip-
Rove took a noticeably softer line on Cruz than he has in recent days. He previously called the defunding strategy ad hoc and said Cruz had created it without consulting with his Senate colleagues.

Advice for Cruz. Don’t watch Rove’s mouth, watch his hands. Cuz that’s where the shiv is.

Ted knows.
That is why he is winning.
He is 3 steps ahead of Rove.

Karl, you’re gonna think EXTRAORDINARY come November 2014 when all the predictions you made, all your analysis proves naïve, and all your condemnation of Tea Party sentiment is shoved down the toilet in a total disaster for the GOPe in terms of who is left standing. You surely will. I look forward to your chicken scratching on your little school whiteboard trying to explain it....

Rove said, "I obviously dont agree with the strategy". The only reason why Rove's strategy worked for Bush is because Hillary was busy sabotaging Gore and Kerry.

Yeah...some may try to say “he looks like a Miami used car salesman.” But he’s the real deal to me, and I would buy any car he has to sell by damn.... Yes, he’s a winner....

Agree 100%
I haven’t seen leadership like he’s showing in...well, I can’t even remember when. He’s an alpha male, yet humble....seems like an omymoron, but there it is.

Rubio was last seen trying to ride Ted’s coat tails, and he did a good job, but he is NO LEADER.
