Lib media warming up the pain of the common man stories... Stories which have been ignored for the past 5 years, relative to gas prices, Obamacare, etc. But now that they assume it will be blamed all on the Repubs here come the sob stories.

This will be the SEQUESTER part II.
If y’all recall president Zero tried to make life as much of a nuisance as possible by unnecessary shutting down of many services.
Zero will do the same again. He will make you feel the pain. If my social security check does not arrive on time, so be it. It is a sacrifice worth doing for the younger generations who will be left with the unbearable debt burden.

***NASA is still working on shutdown plans, but the agency doesn’t have a launch scheduled until Nov. 6, spokesman Bob Jacobs said. Nearly all but a few hundred of the space agency’s 18,000 employees would be furloughed under a contingency plan outlined in 2011.***
I see. And how many of those ‘few hundred’ are only there for the purpose of slime outreach I wonder.

It might be a good thing for the USA to have people realize and or suffer to see how much of their lives have been given or taken over by government. Some of the established bloated government just might be exposed. There might even be a surge of opposition to the fat cat self serving so called ‘public servants’ staffs and elected and appointed becoming millionaires by public salaries. I can do without government services for a few days if such cuts my tax payments.

My wife works for my state and has for over 25 years. She has already been put on notice that all state employees in positions that are funded with federal grants will likely be placed on furlough because of the shutdown. Her present position is federally funded.
I am retired and have been for 11 years, but we can take this hit for awhile. We plan to have fun with it. We’re going to use the time to repaint every room in the house. She likes painting and I like picking out new colors for each room.
Obama plans to make any resistance to his ‘orders’ hurt us all as much as possible. Screw him.

Remember when Obama told us that the world would end if we went through with the sequester????
Remember him squealing like a stuck pig?
Remember him advising his departments to make it hurt the public as much as possible?
Remember the how he shut down the white house tours and then went on vacation and spent a hundred million dollars at 5-star hotels for him and his entourage?
As it turns out the one trillion dollars we will save from a shutdown of non essential services is exactly the amount we are over spending.

Three-quarters of Americans think teachers paid less than they really are Washington Examiner ^ | 9-16-13 | ASHE SCHOW
"
Seventy-four percent of Americans think teachers make less than they really do, according to a new poll from Rasmussen. The average teacher salary in America is $55,000 (upward of $75,000 in Chicago), but three quarters of Americans think teachers earn less than that. Over half of Americans (52 percent) believe teachers are paid too little."

The aid for the states is to be paid for mostly by closing a tax loophole used by multinational corporations and by reducing food stamp benefits for the poor...The legislation provides $10 billion to school districts to rehire laid-off teachers or to ensure that more teachers won't be let go before the new school year begins."
Mutually Assured Destruction [Tues. debacle confirms growing rift between Dems & teachers unions.] American Spectator ^ | 11/5/10 | RiShawn Biddle
"
Congressional Democrats angered centrist school reformers, MoveOn.org-style progressives, and other party activists in August when they voted to ladle $10 billion in federal subsidies (funded from future cuts to the Food Stamp program) to school districts in order to stave off layoffs of 160,000 teachers (or just 2.6 percent of the nation's 6.2 million school employees). In turn, the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers poured more than $40 million of their hefty campaign war chests (including more than $15 million by the NEA in the last weeks of the election season alone) to help the Democrats keep full control of Congress."

800,000 gov’t workers?
I assume these are the “nonessential” workers?
So why do we need them?
sounds about the number of new govt workers he's piled on since 2009 - one of his ‘redistribution’ programs.

More than a third of federal workers would be told to stay home if the government shuts downGood. It's a start.
What needs to happen next is for the GOP House to ensure taxpayers that not one dime of back pay gets handed out to these vacationing non-essential government workers once the government crawls back into "action". By the way, somebody please ping me when the government shuts down or opens up again because I won't notice either occurence.
To: Olog-hai
Furlough all 800,000 as long as there is no retroactive pay!
The last time all it amounted to was a paid vacation!
