NBC announced today that it would be launching a week of programming to help Obamacare get off its feet, according to a press release sent out by the network. The law has been widely opposed by all Republicans and supported by most Democrats, including President Obama.
The headline of the press release reads:
NBC News Launches Ready or Not, the New Healthcare Law, a Multi-Screen Experience to Help Americans Get the Most Out of the Affordable Care Act
Dr. Nancy Snyderman Answers Most Pressing Questions Across Social and Via New Video Series #AskDrNancy
Interactive Tools and Resources Help Audience Navigate New Healthcare Benefits and Marketplaces
The NBC release says it will help explain how to enroll in Obamacare, a service no doubt to President Obama who has himself been barnstorming the country to try to boost enrollment in the program.
"The Affordable Care Act goes into effect on October 1st, but what does this mean for you and your family? During the week of September 30th, NBC News will devote special coverage across all of its platforms to 'Ready or Not, the New Healthcare Law,' an extensive series aimed at explaining the complexities of the ACA and its impact on consumers. Coverage will span multiple screens on air, across digital and through social media, and also provide users with interactive tools and resources, available on NBCNews.com/Healthcare, to help shed light on what the healthcare act means for them and explain how to enroll," reads the release.

Lousenberg is dead, Jim.
Last night the local NBC news for Salt Lake did the same. A sob story of a sick lady who is expecting help from all this, but no mention of cost, availability and all the other negatives.
i think the only think i “watch” on nbc is sunday night football and then only the game while i am doing something else. working, building models, doing puzzles, playing games. more like white noise
Me neither - no NBC for me.
Do we need further proof that the MSM are an arm of the Obama administration?
My local newspaper has being doing the same - ACA cheerleaders all.
You omitted John Cornyn (GOPe RINO-TX)
Nope, he was there: “ - - - John The shame of Texas Cornyn - - - “
The government plus all its MSM cheerleaders are going all-out to try to explain the law to the public, spending hundreds of millions of federal dollars and thousands of hours of MSM staff time. So they will try to make sense of all the income thresholds, the deadlines, the state-by-state differences, the plan options, the penalties, the subsidies, the exceptions, the waivers, blah blah blah. But these SAME people will tell you that voter ID laws are just TOO COMPLICATED and TOO BURDENSOME to comply with. Liars.
I stand corrected on the bottom list, but I have it correct on the longer, top list.
Ah, #11 isn’t running, he’s dead.
NBC, home to Law & Order: SUV, has an episode with a Paula Deen character shooting a Trayvon Martin type, FWIW,
I wonder what will happen if Mick E. Mouse and Sue Perman sign up for plans about a million times.
Meh.
Haven’t watched an NBC prime time series since the 1980s. Don’t watch it during the day. So, tell me. What have these idiots achieved?
Local news has joined with the Obama regime to promote Obamacare.
“NBC announced today that it would be launching a week of programming to help Obamacare get off its feet”
The only time I view anything on the channel which carries the NBC network is for our local nightly news which also gets carried an hour earlier on a FOX affiliated channel.
Otherwise I would not even know (or care) if NBC went off the air.
Boycott the media in favor
“Ratings? What are those? And why should we care what they are?”
Truthfully, I am reminded of when I once got to see East German television. For an entire hour, it showed a military band standing at attention in the rain. Then an aircraft taxied up to where they were standing. Its door opened, and a weathered old man got out. The band played a song as he slowly descended the steps, then stopped. Then he was met by another old man. They briefly hugged, then walked out of the camera range. Then the band stood there in the rain for another hour.
That was it. No commentary, no captions, nothing. Black and white TV.
Yeah, that is pretty much going to be NBC for a week.
Can’t wait until the low information people figure out that they will have to pay for the insurance.
