LIVE Thread: Senate cloture vote. Guess the number of RINOs that vote to support "Dingy" Harry

Senate just came into session. Happily, Dingy Harry is sparing us any commentary early on this morning, as is McConnell. Debate goes until 12:10, at which time there is 30 minutes reserved for majority and minority leaders , then the vote. Will there be any more GOP intramural fireworks on the senate floor?

Your program is on the upswing. You got a great coach (and his wife is awesome) and you’ll be contending again soon. Problem is the SEC is sooo top heavy with great teams..it’s hard to get to the championship game..

Really??..next time, call back and tape it..you can claim a few scalps.. No,I was engaging in a bit of sarcasm.I didn't call. The point I was trying to make is that if I *had* called that's what they'd tell me...diplomatically.I'm sure you've heard the old saying..."diplomacy is the art of telling someone to go to hell in a way that makes them look forward to the trip".

Her father was chief of staff for RINO President Gerald Ford.
I learned way back in the 70’s that the MSM describes everyone who isn’t far left or liberal as “conservative” which means RINO’s often have that label attached to them.
The media defines Dick Cheney as “conservative” but I don’t,
If I lived in WY I probably wouldn’t be supportive of either one of them in the end.

It cant be introducing more free-market efficiency, since if those families are paying out-of-pocket under Obamacare, they would naturally already be doing it now. The penalty can only create an incentive so that less of them do that and more sign on for insurance.
Not necessarily. You may currently have a good job with a good health insurance plan and in a few weeks, you may not, leaving you with few options.
There are many "triggers" in the ACA ("Affordable" Care Act). The first triggers are the employer triggers. An employer with over 50 FULL-TIME employees must pay for a qualified health insurance package or pay a fine per employee. So what does the employer do? They can continue to pay for health insurance for every employee (rates are going up), they can reduce their workforce to less that 50 full-time employees and not pay either the fine or health insurance or they can pay the fine and keep their current level workforce. As things stand now, a "qualified" health insurance package will be around $4000/year per employee. The fine is $2000 per employee.
The second triggers are personal triggers. If the employer lets you go and pays the fine, you are without health insurance. If the employer decides to go below the 50 full-time employee threshold, you may lose your job or drop to too few hours in order for the company's health plan to cover you. Either way, you are without health insurance.
So if you are left without health insurance, you can then pay YOUR fine, or buy PUBLIC insurance off of the exchanges. Two years down the road, 2016, your penalty will most likely be more than the cost of the health insurance.
Bottom line, the goal of Obamacare (ACA) is to wipe out the private insurance industry and sign everyone on to SINGLE PAYER.

For what it’s worth, the NRSC chair and co-chair this election cycle are
Moran and Ted Cruz. They should be prepared to step down from those positions if the RINOs try to pressure them into finding ‘moderate’ candidates.

the goal is to wipe out the private insurance industry and sign everyone on to SINGLE PAYERI've known that for four years.
What I didn't know until the last few weeks is that there is another goal - to pay for the insurance of all recipients of benefits, and to make the producers pay taxes to pay for recipient's insurance AND THEN TO MAKE THEM PAY FOR THEIR OWN INSURANCE.
For the "millionaires and billionaires" who support Obama, this represents no problem. But for the real target of Obama's hatred - his "kulaks" - Joe the Plumber, people who love children enough to have lots of them and to support them, people whose small businesses challenge big business?
They will be crushed, mercilessly.

He wasn’t a conservative AT ALL. He was a liar who would have shrugged and claimed he couldn’t do anything. He was PROUD of Obamacare and he would not have accepted the will of the people. You are living in a fantasy. Look at his record in MA, he was a ‘white and delightsome’ (to use a Book of Mormon phrase) version of Obama.
We keep losing because the GOPe knows people like you will just roll over and support any liberal RINO they put up! You are the problem, not those of us who stand up for conservatism.
