How did we nominate this fool in 2008?
The consequence of 'open' primaries...
Power of the MSM and the GOP elite, working in tandem, to denigrate any challenger to McCain and endow him with that special aura of “inevitability”. It’s the same reason we ended up with Romney last time around.
It was his turn, just like it was Dole's turn in 1996, W's turn in 2000, and Romney's turn in 2012.
Between the Democrats and the media, McLame was the "chosen" one. That, because the Democrats and the media knew he would not put up a good fight.
Oh, God, I don't want to relive that memory.
WE didn't... the Mainstream Media and the traitors in the RNC/GOP did.
Because Duncan Hunter and Fred Thompson were no longer available. And so the liberal Left and their media picked for us. Oh what could have been. :-(.
I didn’t
We? You got a mouse in your pocket? I had nothing to do with nominating this fool.......
But don't worry, he was "the lesser of two evils." And other republicans/conservatives would "hold his feet to the fire."
WE didn’t! The Republican Party elite did. Gonna be different this time around!!
He was nominated because 1) he had behind the public curtain some very strong strings being pulled knowing he was/would be a loser 2) His birth place was a question mark but this could be compromised with Obama’s 3) Palin would be the Judas goat for public acceptance. It seems that Cruz has shown a real split between Palin and McCain. McCain cant hold a candle to Cruz’s knowledge and understanding of true Constitutional government. As an overseas veteran in WWII and a brother killed on Okinawa I no longer have empathy with McCains service.
“How did we nominate this fool in 2008?”
Easy answer: We were beaten into submission by the same well-funded Useful Idiots who gave us Richard Nixon (father of the EPA), Gerald Ford (AKA—Wet Cardboard), George “New World Order” Bush, Bob Droll, George Amnesty and Expanded Medicare Bush, and Mitt Trotsky.
I’m just a Tea Party “hobbit”. Don’t mind me.....
I was only a kid when Ronaldus Magnus was in office, but man, I miss him more and more every day. Even my liberal parents loved him.
Every time he talks, I feel less horrible about the 2008 election result.
By letting lib caucuses and primaries in Iowa and New Hampshire decide the nominee...along with our good friends in the media. Anytime the primary rolls through my state, the nominee had already been decided.
I think the past few months he’s kind of lost it mentally. Sad but he’s all over the place with little rhyme or reason.
We were given the candidate predetermined for us.
the media pushed him whilst the establishment did all that could to give us him and then lets not forget how our nomination process is open in many states, or it lets Dems switch to R;s before an election and then we have the dopey non party types who can vote in some states too.
That is how we got the arrogant fool
“WE” didn’t nominate him. Democrats that switched for the primary did.
Short answer: It was his turn.
Long answer: The anti-Huckabee efforts caused Huckabee's support to drop in South Carolina. The problem was, McCain was a strong #2 in SC. The result was McCain won SC, the MSM said McCain had the momentum, and he then won Florida (prior to the SC primary Guliani was leading in FL).
Personally, I think if Huckster had won SC, Guliani would have won FL, McCain would have had to drop out, and the race would have been blown wide open with Fred Thompson having a strong chance in the Super Tuesday primaries. Thompson's whole strategy was to keep his powder dry until Super Tuesday.
I really believe if Huckster had won SC, Thompson would have ended up as the nominee. However, he probably still would have lost to Obama.
