I think the numbers are a bunch of bunk, if you listen to people calling into Rush and others telling how much their insurance will cost. Especially once the subsidies drop off and the government let's people face the real cost, these numbers will be laughable.

BS! I spend $1500 PER MONTH for me, my wife and son. It was more before a second son got a job with his own health care.

This is the low-end subsidized number, not an average.

This makes me nervous.

328 is comparable, even less in some cases, than insurance premiums today.

If they DO provide subsidies and that goes lower, I'm afraid a lot of working people WILL opt for it.

I'm retired ... and my last 6 or 7 working years was without kids and some of those years without wife.

I never had insurance for any of those years because the cost was about 160 a week and the coverage was a pitiful 20/80 that ... I just couldn't justify at that time of my life.

But if I had kids and wife and the weekly was in that area .. I think I'd probably go for it.

just sayin'

Subsidies: Remember other people are paying for it. That's what it's all about.

The article doesn’t say what the deductibles, co-pays and out-of-pocket maximums are going to be on those low-cost plans.

Might be close for an individual, but for a family, you’re talking thousands.

What’s that saying? There are lies, damn lies, and statistics.

Some of us cannot afford that thanks to inflation and stagnant pay.

The legacy news media are out in force this morning trying to convince everyone how great Obamacare will be. They are flat out advocating for it now.

They must be worried Cruz & Lee are making headway.

Recently, FNC reporter interviewed a family.....wife, husband and 2 young boys......who said their monthly ins premium was, iirc, $338 and recently received notice from their insurance comp saying, due to “Affordable” care act, their premium will increase to approx. $998 per month.

But, media, i.e. Tampa Bay Times, who typically support ANYTHING Mr. Obama says/does reports insurance premiums will be lower than projected! Sadly, people swallow this baloney.

Yahoo is working for BO

The numbers so far are increase, not total but increase, $7600 per year avg per family. And Thad’s when they’re trying to sell it wait ‘til the thing kicks in and the real numbers are felt.

There won’t be any purchasing of anything but groceries going on. All these republicans will be gone the dems and their supporters, the takers will be vainly pointing blame and ted Cruz will be a saint. Because he uses his sense and he can see this obviousness

Washington State Health Finder has instant calculator for you to try. I punched in family of four making $100K -- Obama premium will be $876 pr mo.

$10,500 is a pretty big hit for 'affordable' health care.

What do they get for their $328? What are the deductibles? Does it cover heart surgery? Please - I wish they’d address the tough questions.

$328 is a week’s pay for someone working 29 hours.

"Americans will pay an average premium of $328 monthly for a mid-tier health insurance plan when the Obamacare health exchanges open for enrollment next week"

And that's $1 less than leasing a brand-new BMW 320i! And who would want to drive a new BMW when he or she could have a free colonoscopy for the same money?

That, I take it is the average with all the subsidies and the near-majority already on government healthcare.

And, of course, that’s before you actually pay for your health care, since the deductibles are now so high.
