A Baltimore-area police chief is reviewing the arrest of a man who rose at a town hall-style meeting to challenge the national Common Core standards and wound up in an angry confrontation with an off-duty police officer.

Robert Small,46,showed up at the public forum Thursday night in Towson, but when he began asking questions about Common Core, the police officer, who was providing security at the meeting, shut him down.

“My question is how does lowering educational standards prepare kids for ... college, because that’s what it’s all about?” Small asked in a scene caught on videotape.

But audience members had been told to submit their questions first in writing, and when Small went off script, the police officer moved in. He was forcibly dragged out of the room, while exhorting the crowd to join his cause.

yes, but. when the feds are borrowing 40 cents of every dollar they spend, that’s a trend which cannot continue. and it won’t.

as important as it is to make the intellectual argument and pursue the associated political objectives, it is equally important to maintain a record of who is on which side.

in the case of law enforcement personnel, it is important to file administrative proceedings against their state and federal certifications. most states have some form of department of law enforcement with which you can file a grievance. time to start hanging paper on the sociopaths. patterns will emerge. the same people will be involved time and again in excessive force or unwarranted intervention episodes. tag em. ID the power trippers and the sadists.

As important, don’t let them enjoy the fruits of freedom after we’ve won. they need to be held up and ridiculed for the freaks they are— little men and women who need the cloak of official authority to have meaning for their pathetic lives. in the meantime, tell your kids to make fun of their kids on the playground.

Yes, it would have been nice to see everyone stand up and tell the cop to back off or else. Of course they’d all be charged with being racist.

And we still have quite a group here who think the cops are their friends. Cops are dangerous animals that will obediently follow any order given to them by whoever is holding their leash.

The Tea party was triggered because of Rick Santelli epic rant on CNBC. One parent can trigger CommonCore’s end.

School boards are a joke. They are there to give the illusion of representation to the locals. The unions and administrative bureaucrats make sure the boards are stuffed with a majority of retired teachers or relatives of district employees to make sure pay, benefits and pensions are never cut and that stsate and federal policies are adopted and implemented. One or two seats will usually be allowed to be held by a commoner, but that’s just window dressing to make it look like there is real representation of the taxpayers.

Dissent is not against the law.

what that cop did is treason, no if and's or buts.

Since he is more than likely a private contractor like all Police, Sheriff, Highway patrol, across the country.

Kidnapping is the first charge I would hit them with then I would go after the town council.

The cop was incognito and only showed his Badge when he confronted Mr Small. the cop should lose his Job and his benefits for abusing Mr. Small. Much too much force was used. You can bet the cop wouldn’t have tried that approach in the ghetto areas of Chicago.
MR. Small should have his say ,after all , this used to be America..

The guy should have followed the instructions. However, does that really mean jail? He probably was very disruptive but should have just been kicked out and not arrested.

That is good. I mean to get arrested for not following meeting rules? We could be in big trouble soon (all of us).

The cop seemed to enjoy playing the part of a jack booted thug. It's morons like this who will follow unlawful orders. He was the perfect useful idiot.
