Here it is.

Did this just start?
I think so and I have to run. Can you ping?
Sure no problem
Let’s list off a litany of edge-case, one-off, 0.0001% of the population issues that caused our rectal dysfunction. It wasn’t about helping Stacy - it was about helping government.
Period.
The date on the screen is 9/18/13. Was this last Thursday?
This is live - look at the schedule

The date on that page has a video of another hearing from Sept 18
Issa gives a great opening statement outlines various things in the law that COULD be changed to improve it and warns about problems with implementation that could ultimately kill the law.
Cummings reminds: This is the LAW and continues rant from there.
Am listening to Issa on C-Spin 2, and am disgusted by his comments. He wants everyone to know that he’s not one to demand defunding or delaying “The Affordable Care Act”. He’s truly concerned that if it’s disastrously implemented, it will massively fail for that reason alone.
IOW, not the merits of the law but the merits of current implementation efforts.
Oh, sure, spread the word about Issa and his fear of offending the sensibilities of those who are cramming O-care down our throats.
Think I’m gonna be sick...
Don’t deceive yourself, My FRiend. With the exception of maybe a small handful at the most, the Republicans want obamacare as much as the Democrats do. Especially after they learned that they would be exempt from it.
Cummings introduces “victims” of denial of coverage for pre-existing conditions.
Recall that Democrats would not remain to hear victims of Benghazi though.
Cummings claims that there is no replacement.
Probably not a good idea, considering . . .
Gees Cummings is insufferable!
Let’s postpone the implementation for 3 years. Then with the House and Senate and a GOP President who will not veto defunding we can eliminate this once and for all.
I wonder if Elijah Cummings can holler louder?
Jim Jordan up
Addresses implementation of the whole law
Cummings responds
President - this is hard...gave them that leeway.
Chairman of committee - there are things could be better, but we should not scrap it or people will die
Jordan: the whole law - special dispensation without congress voting on it
Issa: witnesses deal with challenges - individual mandate, corporate mandate, join with ranking member - important hearing, we may disagree on some issues, witnesses will address issues.
I’m not deceiving myself.
Why do you think I was disgusted by his comments?
I’m not shocked if he thinks this way, what is surprising to me is that he talked this way in the opening statement of this hearing.
Most of them don’t want to let on that this is their true attitude about obamacare.
I am so sick of Issa and his hearings. He has a hearing on this or that and it drops into the memory hole. NOTHING ever gets accomplished. How many months since Lois Lerner took the 5th and on and on it drags.
Jeff Coyler - R Kansas Physician
plans to hire new employees and uncertainty
New development - sole practitioner, to rewrite compliance manuals, same Hippa requirements, but new documentations result is less new jobs, less care
Other company - needs to avoid mandate
ACA is a drag on the economy
Determine eligibility - Kansas strong relationship with CMS (medicare)
Technical updates - additional update before Oct 1 making it difficult
Medicaid - Kansas - real income, if not able to verify - we would lose funding.
Issue: education and outreach by federal gov. Naviagtors got contract and we just learned who those would be, but the system isn’t ready to go live today.
Issue: rates - very expensive - 2 insurers on exchange, that is less competition
you have more choices in medicaid than in exchange
I see this every day - we serve the uninsured - this is not going to solve those issues. It is not going to make it more affordable or better.
It is best left to states.
