Everybody hates Ted Cruz: The most unpopular man in Congress!
Salon ^ | September 20, 2013 | Joan Walsh

Posted on 09/21/2013 10:19:18 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

The wheels are coming off the clown car that is the modern Republican Party. House and Senate GOP leaders are sniping at each other, on Twitter and, even more nastily, via their congressional aides. And no one’s been more vilified than the junior senator from Texas, Ted Cruz. Not even Barack Obama, for a change.

Cruz has defiantly led his party down the dead-end path of demanding that Democrats agree to defund Obamacare in exchange for Republicans’ voting to keep funding the government. Polls find even Republicans don’t like that idea, and so a few GOP politicians are asking what Cruz’s endgame is. And when Cruz said he knew Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid wouldn’t let such a bill pass the Senate, and suggested it was all up to House Republicans, the knives came out.

Actual House Republicans attacked Cruz under their own names. Arkansas’ Tim Griffin tweeted, “so far Sen Rs are good at getting Facebook likes, and townhalls, not much else. Do something.” Wisconsin’s Sean Duffy likewise tweeted, “House agrees to send #CR to Senate that defunds Obamacare. @SenTedCruz & @SenMikeLee refuse to fight. Wave white flag and surrender.”

Rep. Paul Ryan told Politico in an interview, not via Twitter, that hostility to Cruz and other Senate GOP extremists is “pretty palpable in our conference, I would say. You mean about how they’re saying we’re not going to fight, and back at you, we’re not going to fight but forget about what we said earlier? Yeah, there’s a bit of frustration. … We all believe the same thing, we all want to achieve the same goal, and so we shouldn’t be questioning each other’s conservatism over tactical disagreements.”(continued)

I would be suspicious of any conservative (Tea Party) who is liked by the establishment RINO’s!

We ask our soldiers to take a stand and fight our enemies abroad, even if it means their very lives, yet, these RINO’s won't even stand and fight where their lives are NOT at risk, but, the future of this Nation is in the balance and all they can do is attack a fellow American who has the guts to stand and fight for the American people and this Country!!

The RINO’s refuse to learn from history, e.g. 2010 election and the latest Colorado recall elections that threw out two (2) socialist democrats. They continue to do the socialists bidding in an attempt to secure (moderate) votes, all the while losing the election.

Stand and fight for the de-funding of Obamascare NOW, or, in 2014, there will be numerous unemployed RINO politicians who can then switch party's from the GOP to the DNC after their defeat at the polls, instead of continuing to pretend they are Republican!

Let us all support Senator Ted Cruz, this is the time he will need our support, when all the RINO’s come out against him. Maybe a ten million American march on Washington might get the RINO’s attention and force the socialist in the Senate to at least vote in support of de-funding Obamascare?

I am just asking, are you sure about this?

What if Obama waves his magic wand and by EO or EA orders his Secretary of the Treasury (who ever that may be) to start selling all of those bonds that have been purchased under QE3. This is not appropriated money, but money that the treasury has tied up in the stock market.

How many billions of dollars is this in fake phoney QE money ?????

I would not anything past this Mooslim goat humper who is trying to destroy America. Acomplish two things, crash the market and bring down the house.

Joan Walsh is an idiot. The people from Texas who sent Ted Cruz to Washington don’t hate him. They are the ones who Sen. Cruz is representing, not some so-called journalists from the Drive By Media.

Cruz is hovering over the target.

May he survive.

It's not going to be easy...

So, the house passes a CR funding white house tours. It’s done, finished, complete. The money is there. If obama doesn’t want to spend it then he is blocking white house tours. That should be the first one they pass.

Or they could tie the CR funding the government to the outlawing of AR-15-shotguns and Fifty Round Single Shot Pistols.

I like it. How about $50 million for a statue of our dear leader? It would be a small price to pay, to get him to sign on.

Plus, it could double as an outdoor toilet.

"The people from Texas"

This article was written on Friday. Since then, and covered by the Texas media, is the critical letter to Cruz from the Texas GOP House delegation.

Sorry, those who wrote the letter are NOT the PEOPLE of Texas who sent Ted Cruz to Washington.

If you don’t see the difference, you have no hope of understanding the truth.

Even the unions are against it, it’s so bad - and so uniformly recognized as bad.

What we’ve got here, I believe, is the weinies in Congress showing us how much they fear the media. Or the NSA... Or the media fed by the NSA...

Somebody in the major media needs to just come right out and say it. Somebody needs to say that the DC cesspool is afraid the NSA will Petraeus them. The NSA is to shut up Congress; the IRS is to shut up patriots. The regime is so thuggish it’s even ticked off the unions. We all know it.

The question you have to ask is did you vote one of those who signed the letter?

I wonder if a table turning strategy like that has even occurred to the Republicans.

They start out with a lie. The lie:”...Cruz has defiantly led his party down the dead-end path of demanding that Democrats agree to defund Obamacare in exchange for Republicans’ voting to keep funding the government....” The Government is still being funded. obamacare is all that is not being funded. But, one never or should never expect to hear the truth when dealing with the spawn of Satan.

It’s more than hate. Primarily, it’s envy of a Senator that shows the rest how it’s done. So many of our reps have forgotten how to fight, to lead, to innovate and have simply settled for the cushy existence of the Beltway model; raise campaign funds, be seen at the best cocktail parties, travel extravagantly at taxpayer expense, and etc.

Senator Cruz is a threat to that existence by cajoling others into taking a stand when not taking a stand is the usual and safe option.

I’m noting that your point was out of phase with Rush Limbaugh’s “Realville, USA”. Realville is where Rush claims to live, and I KNOW it’s where I live.

Ordinary citizens en masse sent Ted to Washington.

So the letter from some TX GOP office holders, who are a club of their own, is not germane to the point. Also TX media is notoriously not conservative. My paper is not, and I live in a town that voted for Ted Cruz, big time.

Ted is a man of the people. While having an amazing legal education, legal mind, and experience both in briefing high profile cases and arguing them before high courts.

It’s a great combination.

There is this truism stated about the House. It is called “the PEOPLE’S House”. It claims, “Here, the PEOPLE Rule”.

The problem is, that has ceased to be true. And a good example is this letter that violates the will of the PEOPLE.

I’m not saying it’s unimportant if my rep signed the letter. I’m only saying that isn’t what I commented on. Let’s say I’m trying to straighten things out, one item at a time.

My rep is Randy Neugebauer of Lubbock. I don’t live in Lubbock but am in his district. I don’t know yet if he signed, but if he did, woe be unto him...

The Establishment that is fighting so hard to get obamacare established know and understand that if they are able to get just this one Program in established in place, through it they can accomplish all their plans and goals. They understand that they have came to within one step of having it established. And that the final step is this funding.

An article like this from Salon PROVES that Ted Cruz has the LIBERAL LOONS nervous and barking.

If Cruz is a TRUE LEADER he'll bury their A$$ while he moves on to the NEXT target.

We shall see. Time will tell.

Generally speaking, we have a representative democracy form of government. You don't elect your representative because how he may or may not vote on any and all issues.

If you are displeased with your representative on this, then you might want to vote for a democrat, because he would likely be very supportive of Cruz's actions.

One thing of interest though, in the digital age and mass communication, can we do away with House members, senators, and even the president. Just let the citizens use their computers vote on everything.
