I’m noting that your point was out of phase with Rush Limbaugh’s “Realville, USA”. Realville is where Rush claims to live, and I KNOW it’s where I live.

Ordinary citizens en masse sent Ted to Washington.

So the letter from some TX GOP office holders, who are a club of their own, is not germane to the point. Also TX media is notoriously not conservative. My paper is not, and I live in a town that voted for Ted Cruz, big time.

Ted is a man of the people. While having an amazing legal education, legal mind, and experience both in briefing high profile cases and arguing them before high courts.

It’s a great combination.

There is this truism stated about the House. It is called “the PEOPLE’S House”. It claims, “Here, the PEOPLE Rule”.

The problem is, that has ceased to be true. And a good example is this letter that violates the will of the PEOPLE.

I’m not saying it’s unimportant if my rep signed the letter. I’m only saying that isn’t what I commented on. Let’s say I’m trying to straighten things out, one item at a time.

My rep is Randy Neugebauer of Lubbock. I don’t live in Lubbock but am in his district. I don’t know yet if he signed, but if he did, woe be unto him...

Generally speaking, we have a representative democracy form of government. You don't elect your representative because how he may or may not vote on any and all issues.

If you are displeased with your representative on this, then you might want to vote for a democrat, because he would likely be very supportive of Cruz's actions.

One thing of interest though, in the digital age and mass communication, can we do away with House members, senators, and even the president. Just let the citizens use their computers vote on everything.
