It’s Detroit. He must have been tied to the tree for a long time before police showed up.
Oh look. A squirrel...
Nothing said about how ‘quick’ the officers came but the thought arises, if the police are properly informed but fail to timely show, at what point does something like this become unlawful detention? Just a thought.
Leave him there for a couple of days while they notify the victims.
In the video at the link, the reporter says the detainee was released by police because no victims came forward to accuse him.
At the end of the video report, it says the police released him because not one victim of the thefts would press charges. The reporter then muses that maybe the perp would feel bad and get a job instead of robbing people. She was not joking.
In England the police would have arrested everyone involved for violating the thief’s rights and he would already have a solicitor starting up a case against everyone on the block.
too bad did not tie him by neck to a tall branch.......
I would have left a humorous note taped to him saying something like “Compliments of your friendly neighborhood Spiderman”.
Let this happen in the South and the media puts a whole different slant on this.
Once again, first responders turn out to be non-government.
