ABC News ^ | September 21, 2013 | By DONNA CASSATA Associated Press

Ted Cruz and Mike Lee stand as the Senate's dynamic duo for conservatives, crusading against President Barack Obama's health care law while infuriating many congressional Republicans with a tactic they consider futile, self-serving and detrimental to the party's political hopes in 2014.

If obamacare is not good enough for the president’s family, it is not good enough for mine.

Those senators like Lamar Alexander, Mitch McConnell, Saxby Chambliss, Johnny Isakson, Lindsey Graham, et al can either listen and heed and toe the new line or they can go to political obliteration - removal from office via Republican Primary. Saxby Chambliss was the first...while not removed per se, he finally realize he would not survive another reelection campaign; neither will Johnny Isakson.

To tell the truth I am strongly against Ted Cruz’s own position on this, but I STRONGLY support him simply because he’s the only Republican standing up to Obama.

Way to go Ted.

Now where in the world, are all the rest of Republicans, and where in the world have all the rest of Republicans been for the last five years?

I mean I am (not) in favor of abolishing expanded government control of healthcare as currently carried in America.

But that said, I still support Ted Cruz 100%.

My support for Ted Cruz overcomes my concern about healthcare costs.

I realize that my healthcare position is a minority position, but I will fight it some other time.

detrimental to the party's political hopes in 2014

The "Party's" political hopes and the hopes of those who want to save their country are not the same thing.

Some Republicans privately fume that Cruz and Lee, stars of "Defund Obamacare" ads from the Senate Conservatives Fund, come off as the only two Republicans opposed to the health care law when in fact Republicans were united for months against Obama and the Democrats in trying to head off the law in 2009 and still vehemently oppose it.

But yet they don't have the same courage as Cruz and Lee to come out into the open and fight head on?

Gutless cowards just need to shut up.

Nope the exact opposite.

I prefer Cruz seemingly alone among Republicans, stand up and FIGHT to knock out OCare.

Later we can fight it out amongst ourselves, but for now I am 100% on the side of Ted Cruz.

On Chambliss’ seat, all I know is that I’ll be damned if I vote for anybody he divorces, likely won’t even vote for the Georgia GOP candidate if it’s a good old boy in the vein of Chambliss. We’re done with them.

Isakson? He had damned well better vote for Obamacare defunding or he is dead meat here in my book....I’ll work night and day against him when he runs again if he does...
