CNN Asks If Sequester 'Put Lives at Risk' at Navy Yard
NewsBusters ^

[UPDATED BELOW] Three times on Tuesday morning, CNN mentioned sequester cuts as a possible culprit behind the security breach at the Navy Yard that led to Monday's shooting there. A CNN headline actually read "Did Government Cuts Put Lives at Risk?"

This came AFTER a former Navy commander warned on CNN that blaming the sequester was "very premature." And just before noon, correspondent Dana Bash reported that "what I've been told is the answer is absolutely not" as to the sequester having a role in the security breach.

What did she expect. Say did the sequester cost us lives? Government official, Why certainly. We really screwed up! Not gonna happen!

So now she's comforted..., having been assured it didn't cost us.

In truth, I doubt it did, but it's not out of the question. And it does bother me that assurances can be obtained in an instant if our elites want to cover their posteriors.

How stupid is that?

It shows how badly CNN is in the administration’s pocket.

In other news, Harry Reid blamed the Colorado flooding on AGW.

Dennis Rodman didn’t have a reach like that.

Yeah, it’s really bad.
After all, the Obamadork and his minions couldn’t find one penny to cut from the Department of Gay Education, the Just-Us Department, the Department that knows nothing about Energy, and the Environmental Clown Agency.

And most certainly last and least, the State(less) Department of liberal arts losers.

A CNN headline actually read "Did Government Cuts Put Lives at Risk?"

The answer to that question, obviously, is "No."

However, if CNN were to ask, "Did a sniveling whackjob supporter of President Obama kill twelve innocent victims and himself at the Washington Navy Yard?", then the answer would be 100% YES!

No, President Clinton’s EO preventing the carrying of Firearms on Military Installations put lives at risk.

Next question Major Hassan?

Would that be the same sequester that Obumbler asked for and then signed into law?

The Navy not taking Rhode Island police serious enough may have cost lives.

sequester cuts are just another of the read herring the media is throwing out for the government.

This shooting was caused by Political Correctness, Affirmative Action and the emptying of the mental hospitals to “mainstream the patients”.

I think that just may be the itch I have been trying to scratch.

Was there something in RI this guy was involved in? Please excuse my ignorance but I never heard anything about a RI connection.

Rhode Island police warned the U.S. Navy last month that Washington Navy Yard gunman Aaron Alexis had reported “hearing voices,” raising further questions about how he gained security clearance at the complex where he went on a shooting rampage.

Surely. Appalling, isn’t it? It certainly seems to be a pattern with our government. They are warned and do nothing or else our government is just too darn big to filter this through in time to act.

We have this guy, we have the Boston bombers, Benghazi, the underwear bomber and even 9/11. There were warnings but it seems our government is consistent with at least one thing...failure.

I don’t see how DHS, NSA, TSA or any of this bull bunk has helped us with anything but a loss of freedoms and tax dollars. It can’t continue like this and it is time the states get off their butts and put their foot down.

All three that you mentioned including the IRS are now operatives of the Democrat party, backed by the silent Boehner.
