Three shooters are involved in the Navy Yard shooting, a police spokeswoman said.
One of the shooters is “down,” police said, but two remain in a building on the grounds.
One of the shooters at large is dressed in fatigues. At least one has a long gun, police said.

I know some people who at times practice Buddhism. They are nutty white liberals, and at least one is schizophrenic. So I would not assume anything, especially when a friend who may have reason to fear ICE talks and says how nice he was.

The shooting is reported to have occurred at about 8:20 a.m. on the fourth floor at the headquarters of the Naval Sea Systems Command on Isaac Hull Avenue on the grounds of the historic Navy Yard (Building 197). Building 197 houses the Naval Sea Systems Command.
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is the largest of the U.S. Navy’s five “systems commands,” or materiel (military materials and equipment) organizations. NAVSEA consists of four shipyards, nine “warfare centers” (two undersea and seven surface), four major shipbuilding locations and the NAVSEA headquarters, located at the Washington Navy Yard, in Washington D.C.
Washington Navy Yard is about 1.6 miles from the U.S. Capitol.

NAVSEA moved to the navy yard from Crystal City in the 1990’s as part of a plan to reduce leased space. Of course Crystal City just filled up with other fed offices and contractors.
Really doesn't even matter what (a) we think or (b) what the truth is: if there's a hint of a 'disgruntled employee' at a military installation, the media narrative will be that Sequestration killed these people.

Uh, after all the chaos, hysteria and media misinformation, it’s now being reported there was only one shooter..Earlier you seemed very adamant and very confident there were multiple shooters. No?
It’s also now being reported the shooter was associated with or possibly a former employee of this organization.
If this is all true, I’m just guessing that some guy shooting up a place which he was formally associated with, might be considered a “pissed off” former employee. I’d use the term “disgruntled” but someone else here really dislikes that term.
