Its always a good sign for an empires fortunes when the commander in chief of the armed forces completely loses the confidence and trust of the troops. While we have all seen various polls demonstrating the general publics complete opposition to unprovoked military aggression against Syria, I hadnt seen a survey focused on military members until now. The results are not good for the establishment. From the Military Times:
Note: The article quotes the Military Times at this point. The Times is a Gannett publication which we cannot excerpt due to their restrictions. You will have read the article to see the results of the survey in more detail. Sorry.

Thank you ... to be allowed to serve my country was a privilege.
I am not quite sure what we are looking at in the picture... it looks more eastern block. I have an AK style rifle set up with a similar scope for fun, but I don’t think it would work that well for a sniper rifle.
The caption read this was a Syrian Rebel using a sniper rifle. I’ll see if I can re-locate the article it was pictured with.
There’s another poster here who generally checks out my gun postings...hopefully he will see this and tell us exactly what sort of gun he’s using.
I know nothing about them excepts guns are usually short and rifles long...LOLOL.
They, non disclosed Arab countries, offered to pay for service.
Slap in the face? We are for sale?
Mmmm
Careerists....we used to call them Zebras (many stripes) when I was in the AF. Can’t afford to be seen going against the CINC lest it screw up promotion chances.
It looks very very close to an AK-74 without a flash suppressor....
I know. It’s not right either.
Looks to me like a scoped RPK which is basically an AK with a longer, slightly heavier barrel and a beefed up receiver. RPKs shoot 7.62x39. Its a light machine gun that would roughly equate to our M249 SAW in the organization tables.
