Google Jet Fleet Loses a Pentagon Fuel Perk

Google Inc. founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin may have to dig deeper to operate their fleet of private jets, after the U.S. Department of Defense ended a little-known arrangement that for years allowed the tech billionaires to travel on sharply discounted jet fuel bought from the Pentagon.

The agreement between the Google founders and the government, which started in 2007, ended Aug. 31 after officials at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration—which sponsored the arrangement—opted not to renew it, according to a Pentagon spokeswoman.

The move followed discussions earlier this year between the Pentagon and NASA over whether the Google founders may have exceeded contract terms by using fuel for non-government flights, according to a letter from a Pentagon official released by Sen. Charles Grassley. …

NSA poses as Google, Google gets NSA jet fuel —prolly tons of other incestuous little arrangements we don’t know of.

The term FASCISM has been thrown around so wantonly in the past the thrower simply sounds stupid.

But yeah —THAT is what this is.

“Don’t be evil” —YEAH SURE.

This sounds on the surface like government-contract arrangements. That Google would get cheap fuel rather than being reimbursed for market price fuel... maybe it looks better on someone’s books, but it’s begging sinful man to abuse the system.

This answers some questions - such as why Google has had such a cozy relationship with the government and reporting search information to the feds. However, it also raises a whole lot more - such as why were the taxpayers subsidizing Google's billionaire founders' jet fuel? If they're "billionaires", they can afford to buy their own damn jet fuel!!

I'm getting really pi$$ed, so I better stop now.

Giving green Google libs cut rate fossil jet fuel, while, IIRC, the Navy is forced to buy grossly expensive biofuels.

WHY IN THE BLUE HELL WERE THE TAXPAYERS FORCED TO PAY FOR GOOGLE TO FLY THEIR JETS?

They were spying on us for our own good I suppose?

You see it clearly. Very quid pro quo as a reward for the privacy invasion biz.

Grassley needs to push harder.

Google has basically bought NASA Ames for their own playground.

NASA is desperate to keep Ames open, so they roll for it.

Ordinary Americans can’t land there, but Page and Brin use it for their personal airport under the fraud that their airplanes are used for “science”.

The only research they’re doing is how to take corruption to new levels.

If you don’t tell your customers that we’re spying on them, we’ll give you free fuel for your private jets.

Oh! The cat’s out of the bag! No need to pay you to keep the dirty little secret anymore! Bye!

You mean Al Gore won’t be able to get cheap fuel when he flies on the Google jet? He’s on the BoD.

Yeah, its true...I furloughed doctors and nurses caring for our combat wounded at Walter Reed hospital and took 20% of their weekly salary, while I allowed millions in luxury jet fuel subsidies to Google billionaires.....so what?

Military civilian medical workers quit after furloughs

Inquiring minds would like to know who else is getting these perks? All these so called billionaires funded by taxpayers.
