Crimes like this warrant short life sentences, thirty days at the most.
Put them in prison with good meals, all the porn they want to watch, then hang them on their 18th birthdays.
This provides a profound lesson, that the system cannot satisfactorily provide justice to such criminals. Thus it is up to the citizenry to do so.
We are all familiar with the extended, expensive, and at times irrational workings of our justice system, especially when it comes to putting down rabid dogs in a timely manner.
The citizenry are under far fewer constraints. If attacked, a citizen may act as police officer, judge, jury, and executioner, and all the arcane legal shenanigans in the world will not make that villain’s evil, but now perforated heart beat a single pulse.
And in the process, a good citizen will have saved the public not just the repeat offenses of that perp, but also perhaps $2 million, which would have otherwise been spent on his trial and incarceration.
Yes, it is an unpleasant notion that it is necessary to put down rabid dogs, but this doesn’t mean that we should not. For the better of all, that dog has to die.
