graphic text... is that the converse of textual graphics?
ok, ok, a lame joke.
they “don’t give a damn” do they. there are good reasons for not giving damns, like being intent on blessings instead, but that is not the case here!
of course it’s the MISUSE that should be damned. save the people by all means but you can’t save sin.
10th grade ain’t what it used to be..
Felicia learned what pleased him. She tied his arms above his head with their underclothing and slapping him sharply when he asked. Youre my bitch, Hugo said, groaning.
Aside from everything else, it’s very badly written.
Truly disgusting. Our “education” system has to be so completely corrupted by perverts for this to be happening. Sadly, though, I am not surprised at all.
The author is Latina, so the text is automatically “empowering.” End of discussion.
We’re supposed to be teaching these kids English and good writing skills, and we have a sentence that doesn’t even use the right tense of the verb (”slapping” instead of “slapped”.
I read a bit more from the photo of the book, and the author switches tenses. This author doesn’t even speak correct English.
It reads like the twilight fanfic that became “fifty shades of gray.”
Which is to say it is crap.
Sex is so bad, we should ban it once and for all...
“It’d be better they had a millstone around their neck and were cast in the sea, than cause one of my little ones to stumble”.

50 shades for high schoolers...
Pooping is so good we should show pictures of it in high school classes.
Sex for underaged children should be banned and certainly not promoted by adults, who should know better. Unfortunately, there appears to be a big market for child porn that Obama's Dept. of Education, the NEA and Teachers unions are willing to promote and support under Common Corrosion.
Romo said she was told the "exemplar texts" are intended to show the correct reading level and are not recommendations for purchase.
Oh. "Exemplar" no longer means exemplar, eh? I'll bet that took lots of highly paid feral government experts to figure out.
Indeed it is rather prosaic writing.
Keep the Central Govt OUT of education; LEAVE it to the private organizations and to State and local governments/School Districts where there is at least some accountability.
