According to the Wall Street Journal, the Environmental Protection Agency will propose new rules next week banning the construction of new coal power plants in the United States that do not meet expensive new and ridiculous efficiency standards. The new standards will force power plants underground, literally.

Well Texas has the only electrical grid independent from the rest of the nation. When we are producing all our power from Fracking produced natural gas we will have a huge competitive advantage vs the other states.

After a couple of months I would force all nuclear plants to shut down and enjoy my popcorn. A couple of months later ditto with the gas powered plants. I’m sick and tired of these government agencies being allowed to issue new rules as they see fit. How about a constitutional amendment forbidding any government agency from passing and enforcing new rules unless those rules have been voted on and passed by both houses of congress?
