Kmart is going after Christmas layaway sales as their “Hail Mary” pass. You need at least 90 days lead time to do layaway.
Outside the 4th, I’ve reached a point where all these holidays are nearly meaningless...
The greedy fat corps would concoct a holiday every single day of the year if they could, hoping the ocean of dummies would throw more money at them...

K-MART???? They closed most of the Big K Marts around here. Only one or two left.
No amount of Christmas decoration can hide the fact that the inside of my local K-Mart looks like a Soviet era commodities store. Seriously, cinder block with a thin coat of peeling grey paint. Ceiling tiles missing or covered in water stains and puke green 1970’s floor tiles.

Given they are talking about lay-away buying, then it makes sense.
They give people 10-12 weeks to pay for stuff.
The reason I like it is that they’re encouraging buying rather than going into credit card debt.

Also, I could give a rip about “commercial Christmas”. As many have pointed out, late December probably was the time of the incarnation and not the birth...when the light came into the world.

I found their back to school tv ads showing little kids doing hip hop a lot more discusting.
I spend less and less at Christmas time.
