A former U.S. Air Force intelligence officer whom I interviewed recalled that at about this time, the National Security Agency captured communications showing that Israeli air force fighter-bombers operating from Hatzerim Air Base outside the city of Beersheba in southern Israel had been detected conducting simulated low-level chemical weapons delivery missions at a bombing range in the Negev Desert.
At my request, a friend of mine who retired years ago from the U.S. intelligence community began systematically scanning the available cache of commercial satellite imagery found on the Google Maps website, looking for the mysterious and elusive Israeli nerve agent production facility and weapons storage bunker complex near the city of Dimona where Israel stores its stockpile of chemical weapons.
It took a little while, but the imagery search found what I believe is the location of the Israeli nerve agent production facility and its associated chemical weapons storage area in a desolate and virtually uninhabited area of the Negev Desert just east of the village of al-Kilab, which is only 10 miles west of the outskirts of the city of Dimona. I believe this extensive bunker complex is the location of what the 1983 CIA intelligence estimate referred to as the Dimona Sensitive Storage Area.

Is there a civil war inside Israel, in which the government is at least ACCUSED of using chemical weapons on civilians and has the U.S. threatened to attack it to “send a message”?
To which the government itself has suggested it voluntarily turn over its weapons stock to international surpervision?
If so, I must have missed it.
You see, these situations ARE NOT COMPARABLE IN ANY WAY.
The U.S. has chemical weapons too.

What if the Israelis do have chem weapons? They also have nukes.
The difference is that they’re not untamed rabid suicidal homicidal death cult hyenas like everyone else in a 700 mile radius from Jerusalem.
I believe Israel and Myanmar are the only countries that have signed but not ratified the Chemical Weapons treaty. A very shrewd move on the part of Putin.

Pretty much every major Nation has chemical weapons. Of course they do.
WE have chemical weapons. Everyone does. It is only a matter of WHO has the morals and ethical stand to lead the world.
WHO is trustworthy, based on their society- to not damage innocent people or steal God given freedoms?
And at the moment, the US is not the good guy. We should not even be talking about WHO has the right to chemical weapons, because based on Oh BOMB ya’s drone attacks and unethical treatment of our military, and aiding terrorists in other countries- DO we have any moral ground?

The South Africans new when the spotter satellites (can’t recall their names now) were overhead. They set off the tests in the far south Atlantic. If a satellite caught the flash, or recorded a neutrino burst, there was nothing there when it went over. Everybody probably attributed any readings to noise.
I don’t think the southern oceans are expected areas for nuclear blasts. So, any number could have been set off over the decades and nobody would be the wiser.
Ours is a citizens army in a democracy. They would have keep training people in how to use these things. They would have to store them. That means thousands of soldiers would know about them and someone would squawk on the Internet. Beyond that Israel is very sensitive to the idea of people being killed by gas. We set the world’s record in WWII for victims.
