Jeb Bush to Award Hillary 'Liberty Medal' on Eve of Benghazi Anniversary
Breitbart ^ | 9 Sep 2013 | Dr. Susan Berry

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) will honor former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton with this year’s Liberty Medal from the National Constitution Center. The award will be presented to Clinton on September 10th, the eve of the first anniversary of the terrorist attack on the United States mission in Benghazi that killed four Americans.

...

Upon the announcement of Clinton’s award in June, Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft wrote, “Really Jeb, no one else came to mind?"

Does Bush think he can win the Presidential nomination after doing this?

Isn't it amazing that there are still people out there who seriously believe that Bush and Clinton (and for that matter, most Republicans and their Democratic "rivals") represent two diametrically opposite, irreconcilable political ideologies, as opposed to being the two arms of a single creature?

I sure believed it for a long time. Romney finally snapped me out of it.

.... and that winged thingy over the fruit salad... ordinarily, it was a Paratrooper badge...

But in THAT instance, in THAT army, I understand it had something to do with “Bravery In The Performance and Consummation of Marital Duties” and there may have been a Yak or Llama involved, along with several feet of Keilbasa and a 55 gallon drum of 5W-40 Motor Oil... at least that’s the rumor I heard... dunno if you heard that or not...

Not a problem; we're all a little more than on edge these days. IMO, it's a combination of (a) feeling helpless/powerless, (b) feeling that there is little to no justice, and (c) knowing that the next Civil War is on the horizon.

Good brochure, by the way.

Thank you — At this point I think that satire is likely the best way to bring these issues to light.

The fact that they’re not doing this while in exile and wearing tar and feathers is our fault.

Coincidence: Romney was the final proof that I needed to confirm my ever-growing suspicion that the Republican party was nothing but talk.
I caught heck here for refusing to jump on the Romney bandwagon, especially w/ people claiming that my vote for Gary Johnson (a former governor of my state who did an excellent job) was really just a vote for Obama because he didn't/couldn't win… as they completely ignored the fact that Romney didn't/couldn't win.

To: Finny; Theodore R.
It's exactly this sort of mentality that guarantees tyranical majorities in Congress no matter which party wins.*

But as Theo R. points out, liberals smile when people talk of a "conservative" third party. Theo R. fails to add that they smile just as broadly when guys like Theo R. desperately cling (as I did for years) to the fantasy that Republicans aren't on the same page of amoral government tyranny as the Democrats and that voting for the likes of Jeb and Romney isn't every bit as nuts as voting for a Democrat.

Meanwhile, American Democrats who are sick of what their party is doing but who think Republicans are worse, and Republicans who are sick of what their party is doing but who think Democrats are worse, are RIPE for becoming united behind a common goal of limited government independent of EITHER tainted, stinky, stained party.

* I have a brochure for that as well. It's a little bit esoteric (being based on the lore/background of the tabletop Warhammer 40,000) but does illustrate the mentality [and perhaps vision] of our ruling caste:

IN THE GRIM DARKNESS OF THE FAR FUTURE THERE IS ONLY GOVERNMENT.
