The White House asserted Sunday that a "common-sense test" rather than "irrefutable, beyond-a-reasonable-doubt evidence" makes the Syrian government responsible for a chemical weapons attack that President Barack Obama says demands a U.S. military response.
At the same time, chief of staff Denis McDonough acknowledged the risks that military action could drag the U.S. into the middle of a brutal civil war and endanger allies such as Israel with a retaliatory attack.

Things are going bad when they have to change their reasoning.
They have gone from, “We have proof!” To “Well, it just makes sense!”
Even the Carter administration would've been ashamed to bring forth an argument as weak as this one. This is the level of audacity that put the poor film-maker in jail!
If they're willing to bring war on a sovereign country with a country like Russia on their side (while none are on ours) on such rationalization, instituting martial law because of a false flag act (they only need deem it belligerent under the NDAA--no recourse from the courts) of some purported "clinger" (read: Conservative) is already within their bounds, whether to stay in power or toward the ends of any other sinister plan they can suck out of their thumbs.
