Fighting raged through the picturesque mountain village of Maaloula, near Damascus, on Thursday, as the regime launched a counter-attack against the rebels.
"They entered the main square and smashed a statue of the Virgin Mary," said one resident of the area, speaking by phone and too frightened to give his name. "They shelled us from the nearby mountain. Two shells hit the St Thecla convent."
Maaloula, tucked into the honey-coloured cliffs of a mountain range north of Damascus and on a "tentative" list of applicants for Unesco world heritage status, is associated with the earliest days of Christianity.

First They Came for the Jews
First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.~Pastor Martin Niemöller
Community and individuality are not opposites. People cannot survive on their own. When the odds are stacked against you, you must rally with the oppressed and hated.
When a growing oppressive regime is taking hold, you must act, otherwise you will soon face your enemy alone and hopeless.
Strength of community is a strength as much as individualism, as long you are willing to face weaknesses in your own community. Ignoring slacking values will mean that you will be rallied against by those you oppress.
Niemöller affirms we must rally against unhealthy organized regimes. We must also stay vigilant with those that appear to be good natured, as all organisation attracts corruption. Niemöller also warns us that if it is you who are corrupt, then you will face a stronger combined force of foe!

They speak Hebrew in Syria?
>> Remember the word allah means satan. <<
.
True.
In addressing a ‘god,’ any name but Yehova glorifies Satan.
Aramaic is related to Hebrew. The present day Hebrew lettering is Aramaic based.
No, aramaic is based on Hebrew.
Hebrew is a refinement of Chaldee, which was the early form of Hebrew spoken at creation. Most of the differences between Hebrew and Chaldee are in the shape of the strokes of the characters, which are literally pictures of what the character means. Modern Hebrew has more detailed strokes.
There are ancient Chaldee speakers in Wales, and it is almost the same as the Hebrew spoken by European Jews.
Did some reasearch and though this Wiki, it is a good start:

About Aramaic.
Aramaic is a semitic language, the language of Aram, a son of Shem.
As I’m sure you know, the sons of Noah spoke the same language that Abraham did, thus Aramaic is derivative of the Hebrew strain, and not far removed.
We need another Crusade.
“We need another Crusade.”
