No, aramaic is based on Hebrew.

Hebrew is a refinement of Chaldee, which was the early form of Hebrew spoken at creation. Most of the differences between Hebrew and Chaldee are in the shape of the strokes of the characters, which are literally pictures of what the character means. Modern Hebrew has more detailed strokes.

There are ancient Chaldee speakers in Wales, and it is almost the same as the Hebrew spoken by European Jews.
