Reuters Jeff Mason and Mark Felsenthal report: John Boehner, Republican speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, said on Tuesday he would support President Barack Obama's call for military action in Syria and urged his colleagues in Congress to do the same. Speaking to reporters after a meeting with Obama at the White House, Boehner said the United States had to respond to the use of chemical weapons in Syria and show allies that America would stand up when necessary.

Curious that Tom Harkin (chickenhawk in Viet Nam) said he had more questions than answers from Barry’s war whoop.

BBC News uses 2003 Iraq photo to illustrate "Syrian massacre"
The Telegraph / Hannah Furness / FR Posted 9/2/13 by Timber Rattler

Photographer Marco di Lauro said he nearly “fell off his chair” when he saw the image being used, and said he was “astonished” at the failure to check their sources.

The Iraqi picture---taken on March 27, 2003---shows a young Iraqi child jumping over dozens of white body bags containing skeletons found in a desert south of Baghdad, Iraq.

The Iraqi picture was posted on the BBC news website today under the heading “Syria massacre in Houla condemned as outrage grows”.(Excerpt) Read more at telegraph.co.uk ......

This revelation comes as a Euro-newspaper reports Obama's own military do not believe him.

NOTE: THIS IS AN EDITED TRANSLATION AND MAY NOT BE FULLY ACCURATE WRT VERBIAGE Even more embarrassing for Obama, retired Lieutenant General Gregory S. Newbold posted: "The politicians are naive about the obligations that exist in foreign policy. Many are shockingly clueless about what can achieve a military operation. Newbold lead cadres in the Iraq war. He said that many of his colleagues share his active serious concerns.

An officer who commented anonymously, said: "I can not believe that the president ever takes this step into consideration. In the past 10 years we have been fighting against insurgents. Syria has advanced weapons systems. We would be in a classic war. "

Already in the past week Gen. Martin Dempsey, head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, pointed to the heedlessness of Obama administration. He told ABC: "The simple use of weapons, without a precise strategy, such as the use contemplated, probably never leads to the conclusion that we imagine."

General James Mattis said: "If the Americans actually perform such an operation, then that is a brutal, very, very serious war. "

Another active officer said: "What political end do we want to achieve? I do not know what it is.

SUMMING UP Obama's got no NATO support, no US support, no Arab League support (for military action), no big powers support, and little or no support from the non-worshipful-citizen types.

Who used the weapons? Was it Assad or the “Rebels”? Who gave them to the user? Iran?. Our foreign “Fast and Furious”? Many questions. Few answers and once again to “Pass the bill to find out whats in it”. No thanks.

But of course he will.

He met with the Obamanation and agreed to support him for some, probably inane political nod or repayment in kind.

Boener needs to go...long past time.

“Why Liberals Kill”
President Obama to exit Afghanistan. But their heroes—from FDR to JFK—promoted U.S. involvement in more wars than all modern GOP presidents combined.

Just what I would expect from sunshine soldier Bonehead. POS discharged via a bad back, probably yellow jaundice.

Meanwhile, McCain is beating the drums here too. He should have been in jail over the keating thing but got away due to a political deal.

What a bunch, now worth a $2 dollar whore, none of the lot of them.

Bashar Assad’s Syria, a state sponsor of terrorism, is epitome of a rogue state, and has long posed a direct threat to American interests.
