NBC's Mitchell: Trust Obama, He's Going to Bomb Syria 'From A Very Cautious Anti-War Perspective'

On her Friday MSNBC program, host Andrea Mitchell tried to ease the concerns of Democratic Congresswoman Barbara Lee and other members of Congress calling for a congressional vote on military action in Syria: "Barack Obama, as you know better than I do, was one of the leading Democratic politicians against the Iraq War. So if he says that this is different, that the evidence is there....does that persuade you since he has always come at this from a very cautious anti-war perspective?" [Listen to the audio]

Accepting the odd juxtaposition of the President launching missile strikes from an "anti-war perspective," Lee responded: "And I'm very pleased that the President has come at this in a very cautious manner....But also that has nothing to do with our constitutional responsibility as members of Congress, Andrea."

““He’s Going to Bomb Syria ‘From A Very Cautious Anti-War Perspective’” Language fit for a novel....say,mm, 1984 !”

And, if you don’t agree with that language, you must be a “CWAZY!” person, or a racist that hates the idea of a black President!

Now, how many million times will that statement get tweeted to the low-info folks by sunrise??

I don't care who you are, that's funny right there! But seriously Andrea, you ignorant ____, a partial anti-war perspective bombing is like being "a little bit pregnant."

Exactly.
It really is repeating the past over and over again, just in a different location.
Give Kerry, McCain,Graham etc monocles and wine goblets in a meeting hall circa 1912 with the heir current dialogue and there is no difference between WWI and now.

Only, zero and his crew are straight from 1930’s Germany.

The people in the media are so tied to Obama at the hip, they can’t help themselves. And they seem to have no clue how hypocritical they are being supportive of Obama for things about which they eviscerated George W. Bush.

John Hay (US Sec of State) referred to the Spanish-American War as the “splendid little war”.

Saw it in reference to WWI as well.
Along with “glorious” and “short” .
Point is, the hype never met the reality.

I have news for Mitchell and Rep. Lee; Sen. John McCain is now in charge of Syria and is not interested in any anti-war perspective.

I was thinking it was more like something out of a movie.

"Idiocracy"

Do a youtube search. It's kind of raunchy, but also very reminiscent of Soetoro's administration.
