SPARTENBURG -- South Carolina Tea Party groups have drafted a resolution containing a 29-point case to replace Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) with a Senator who is more conservative, Breitbart News has learned.
Local Tea Party leaders provided the document, a resolution that can be passed by local and state GOP committees, to Breitbart News. It argues that Grahams activities in the U.S. Senate are a violation of the principles of the South Carolina Republican Party platform. Graham is up for reelection next year.
Items highlighted by Tea Partiers include: Grahams support of providing weapons to Al Quaeda / Muslim Brotherhood Revolutionaries in Syria, how Graham [s]upported amnesty but not border control, how he supported NSA spying on private American citizens, abridging the First Amendment for those who criticize the government, restrictions on the Second Amendment, Obama's drone program against American citizens, subordinating American sovereignty to the United Nations, giving foreign aid to terrorist governments in the Middle East, granting members of the Muslim Brotherhood high level positions in the US government, giving taxpayer money to international organizations, giving taxpayer money for excessive foreign aid generally, not just to terrorist governments in the Middle East, restricting the First Amendment rights to criticize Islamic radicalism, Obama's radical appointments to the Supreme Court, liberal proposal to nationalize banks, Obama's energy taxes and Cap and Trade, bailouts for financial institutions (TARP), and bailouts for independent mortgage institutions (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac).
Other points include how Graham opposed principled application of free trade policies, making Bush tax cuts permanent, President Bush's conservative nominee from South Carolina to the Court of Appeals, and medical malpractice tort reform. The Tea Partiers also rip Graham for siding with Democrats on government regulation to combat climate change, having [p]raised Hillary Clintons prospects for higher office, having [f]ailed to...

It’s a good start!
SOUTH CAROLINA TEA PARTIERS DRAFT RESOLUTION TO REPLACE LINDSEY GRAHAM
With a stuffed Skunk ?
RAMIREZ
In his latest Ramirez covers:
Syria Denies Using Chemical Weapons
sweet!!!!
No he’s serving from Arizona...
good
‘Lugar Graham’ ping.
Yup. Every damn RINO should be replaced. Aside from Mclame, he’s the biggest RINO clown on the block.
What was that malarky the Washington Post was spouting a couple weeks ago about no Republicans feeling the heat about supporting Amnesty? Well, I don’t think the grassroots is very happy with McGrahamnesty or McRubio. They’re getting booed off the stages in their home states. McRubio has suddenly shut his mouth about it. Is hoping we’ll forget.
FULG!! FUMR!! FUJM!! FUJF!!
We will not for get your betrayals.
Same for McConnell, McPaul, McRyan, McKristy, McBush, et al!!
Read my lips!!
NO AMNESTY!!
A stuffed skunk would be better than a stuffed shirt prick.
The SC’s had me at “-provide weapons to AQ—”. The rest is just dressing. Just tell me who the conservative replacement will be and I’ll burn a 46 cent stamp to get some help on the way.
NY Times 8/26:
Challengers to South Carolina Senator Are Lining Up on the Right
“So far, three people have stepped forward to challenge Mr. Graham in the June primary: State Senator Lee Bright; Richard Cash, a former Congressional candidate; and Nancy Mace, the first woman to graduate from the Citadel and, at the moment, the challenger whose political star is rising the fastest.”
My understanding is that Graham would have to get better than 50% or face a run off.
Good luck, South Carolina!!
Go, tea party!!
Prayers up!!
Has there been any polls in SC to determine Graham’s re-election chances?
I used to really like him, but no so much any more.
The Washington Post claims recently that he has high approval numbers and he’s not vulnerable and that SC generally favors immigration reform, etc, but we’ll see. I know the grassroots hates the guy. Praying he gets dumped.
Don’t forget his private meeting with mac daddy while running for POTUS which resulted in the back stabbing of his running mate.
I guess the deal he got from mac daddy was worth turning his back on his running mate.
SUCH A LOSER.
The Buckeye state needs to do the same for boehner.
Graham should be replaced. He has long since abandoned any pretended conservatism when he was first elected.
The one who impresses me, besides Cruz and Lee is Sessions from Alabama. He’s been there more than long enough to be totally compromised and totally sold out, but he’s been a leader against illegal amnesty.
Additionally, he is pro-God, pro-life, pro-American energy, pro-small government, anti-Obamacare, pro-natural marriage, anti-gay agenda. He is among the few who opposed Sotomayor and Kagan to the SCOTUS.
Info on the SC primary process:
Voters who voted in a party's primary, can vote only in the runoff of the same party. Voters who did not vote in the primary, may vote in either party's runoff.
The primary is for Democratic and Republican candidates only. Candidates running unopposed for their Party's nomination will not appear on primary ballots.
Voters may not vote in a political party's runoff if they voted in another political party's primary. However, voters who did not vote in either politicial party's primary may vote in either politicial party's runoff.
A defeated primary candidate may not actively offer or campaign as a write-in candidate for the ensuing election. The use of posters or stickers on the ballot is not permitted. The voting machine provides for a voter to write-in a candidate. Write-in votes are not allowed in primary elections or the election of President or Vice-president.
While the state permits fusion (a candidate may be nominated by multiple parties), if a candidate runs for and looses a primary (of any party), the candidate cannot appear on the November ballot.
So we're virtually guaranteed a runoff. THAT'S where we'll get Linda.
The South Carolina Republican Party has already censured Linda.
And put one of these fine folks in his place: |
