The buzz in Washington continues over Republican Sen. Marco Rubio's assertion last week that if Congress stalls out on immigration reform, President Obama may legalize many of the 11 million illegal immigrants administratively.
The Florida lawmaker told a radio station that Mr. Obama will be "tempted to issue an executive order like he did for the Dream Act kids a year ago, where he basically legalizes 11 million people by the sign of a pen." Then he added, "a year from now we could find ourselves with all 11 million people here legally under an executive order from the president."

Mr. Rubio's warning is being taken seriously on Capitol Hill and may help move the debate forward. The Senate immigration bill, Mr. Rubio has said for months, is better than the "de facto amnesty we already have in this country."

...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.
Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.
Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.
Lets start that conversation by acknowledging we arent going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.
If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...
This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.
Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.
[but hes not in favor of amnesty, snicker, definition of is is]
Using Obama as an excuse to push through amnesty seems like a last desperate ploy.
Let Obama use executive power to give amnesty to millions.
The fix is in with large business interests who want cheap labor and leftist labor groups that want Democrats to win elections giving it “bipartisan” support.
This is akin to the robber saying give me your money or I will shoot you and take it
Rubio infiltrated the tea party, on behalf of the advancement of the Socialist, Marxist, Fascist, Communist agenda!
I do not blame the Tea Party, although there may have been some minor indicators, he was near impossible to vent at the time he was running...but now we know.
If you wish to steal, if you wish to hold up and rob a bank, then we will find some money for you...
Makes a lot of sense eh ???
Marco is flailing in his attempts to extricate himself from the corner he painted himself into.
Maybe Congress should legalize bank robbery before Obama legalizes it via executive order.
If Barack Obama can just legalize illegals with a stroke of a pen, does that mean the next President can make them illegal again? Sounds like Barry needs to watch his strokes.
Oh, that's right: John "NO BALLS" Boehner. Nevermind.
Rubio’s desperate-—once considered a front-runner and conserv/fave, he doesn’t even show up on the 2016 radar....on lists of possible candidates Rubio is a no-show.
sukit marco
If the big O does not need Congress to legalize the illegals, then why wait? Call his bluff.
Once the Nazis get their amnesty pushed through, they’ll be able to spend all of their time working on disarming the American people.
Besides, isn't it easier to nullify an EO (next Prez), than repeal passed legislation?
We’ve had quite enough of Marco. His true colors have bled through.
What a stupid and defeatist argument which proves beyond question that Rubio is a sell-out. If 0bama is going to act like a dictator via EO, it makes no practical difference what congress does. In fact, if congress does vote for some type of immigration reform, we all know that this will be used to provide cover for any action that the dictator takes. Congress will become a willing accomplice to the dictator. We know that throughout history, most dictators have used vestigial assemblies and legislatures as a means to deceive the public into believing that their voice is being heard.
