On Saturday, a couple walking through the French Quarter was severely beaten in what appears to be yet another act of violence, motivated by racism.
Around 6 a.m., the couple was approached by three young black men near the intersection of Iberville and Dauphine Streets. The suspects quickly surrounded the couple and without warning, physically assaulted both of them, according to police.
The Times-Picayune reported:
The woman was punched in the mouth, police said, and her male companion was struck several times by the group. The man was beaten so badly that his jaw broke, requiring him to be hospitalized and undergo surgery, police said. Three plates were inserted into the 27-year-old male victim's jaw.
Images of the three suspects were captured by a security camera and police are now asking for the public's help in their arrest.

In my vast and eclectic experience, the above is wildly optimistic conjecture which relies upon facts not in evidence.
Seriously, these uber-violent Black animals are basically brainless. For decades now they have been programmed and conditioned by Liberal Progressives to believe that they are incapable of getting by without specially "compensated" rules, tests, regulations, hiring practices, and racial quotas designed to give their otherwise apparently useless, helpless, hopelessly lazy butts a "leg up" on the rest of society.
If we are to believe everyone from their Liberal Progressive Plantation "Massahs" to the U.S. Supreme Court, the only societal structure that is "fair" to the poor Black American is a structure that is grotesquely tilted in his favor, and that is patently unfair to every other social caste.
This is the new "equality." Spend 50 years teaching any societal group that they are deserving of special favors and compensations just because of the color of their skin (and the basic inferiority which that color implies), and you will eventually engender the level of animalistic hatred and violence that these cowardly, ignorant imbeciles are now evincing at an alarmingly expanding rate toward all whites.
There may end up being only one way to rip this manifest and deeply-rooted evil from society. The ball may well be in their court right now, but we got next. These needy, latent-homosexual "Whey beez mah handout?!" rump-badits have a simple enough choice to make—even for them...

I really have no preference as to which they choose. Though, in truth, I guess I would hate to have wasted tens-of-thousands of dollars on exceptionally-well designed, masterfully crafted and brilliantly camouflaged equipment, materiel and supplies that I'll never need or use...

A few years back, a gang of Blacks went out into the rural part[s] of eastern Hillsborough County where the strawberry fields are located and robbed the Mexican berry pickers at gunpoint. Eventually the police took care of that problem. And from what I heard here and there, when a few copy cats sprung up, the Mexicans quietly handled that problem among themselves. And after a while, they decided to stay in familiar territory and get their meals. It all goes back to situational awareness and being mentally prepared.
Myself, there are places I do not go. And when I am out, I have made a mental plan on how to react if certain events occur. For example: If a mob or crowd gets in front of my vehicle to force me to stop, me reaction will be to press the accelerator to the floorboard and keep it there.
That couple could have been armed, had they gotten CCW permits. And, Open Carry is legal in Louisiana.
Only where it is worth doing some serious legal battles if caught...
There are some nice alternatives to carrying a firearm like a collapsible steel baton...or a automatic knife...
I and my wife have a M&P version automatic knife that I can conceal in the palm of my hand and is spring loaded...with the flip of a button...3.5 inches pointed blade, self locking, sharp as a razor, serrated half way down and can do some serious damage...

I suggest waiting until Zimmerman’s lawsuits are settled. Bet on Zimmerman being a very wealthy man, as the list of those liable for their lies is long.

Good choice - I opted to split the difference: XD 45 Compact with 13-rd. mags. I'd never venture into the French Quarter without that level of protection. Tactical Tupperware isn't my real preference, but the reality is that any handgun actually used in a "social encounter" is going to be taken for a long time, so it needs to be easily replaceable.
This kind of crime is much more common than reported... The press and the police have reasons NOT to report black on white crime.

When presidential primary season begins, Republican candidates should be asked this question:
“Will you appoint a US Attorney General whose policy will be to prosecute ALL racial hate crimes, or keep the current policy of only prosecuting hate crimes against protected groups, and not even calling blatant hate crimes *by* protected groups ‘hate crimes’?”
Importantly, this is not asking him as POTUS to do anything directly, except to screen his potential US attorney general appointments over their “equality before the law” standards.
Until America can accept the idea of extensive black racial hated of every other racial group, there is no real justice.
Or perhaps just another random act of boredom. Thank God they didn't have it in them to try to defend themselves - their corpses would have been indicted for contributory manslaughter.

I switched back in 1968! From a cheap single action style revolver, to a 13 shot Browning Hi-Power, for the same reason.
And, the Sportsman’s Paradise is very gun-friendly, and very pro personal protection. If they had dropped one or two while getting assaulted, things would’ve worked out in their favor.
With 150 million holding a billion + guns and 1000 times more ammo than the Mil, even stupid nobama n holder know declaring Martial Law will kick off SHTF and would be their and the “African problem’s” end. Reparations would take on a whole different meaning.
One thing everyone needs to understand, even though your life has no value to them, theirs does.
