"My friends, it matters here if nothing is done. It matters if the world speaks out in condemnation and then nothing happens," said Secretary of State John Kerry in a speech this afternoon. "Just longing for peace does not necessarily bring it about." As Kerry called Bashar al-Assad "a thug and a murderer," the White House said in an intelligence report that it has "high confidence" the Syrian government was responsible for chemical-weapons attacks on civilians. "This is common sense. This is evidence. These are facts," said Kerry, calling the proof "clear" and "compelling."
"So the primary question is really no longer 'What do we know?'" said Kerry. "The question is whether we we collectively what are we and the world going to do about it?" Whether or not the government acts in response, he repeated, "matters deeply to the credibility and the future interests of the United States," not leaving much room to wonder which way the Obama administration is leaning.
I don’t know...he’s saying “the world” has to do something. Sounds like they’re weasling out of it now to me (not that that’s a bad thing.)
No, this is a leap in logic to an objective you predetermined that happens to fit the facts as you interpret them. There's no smoking gun with Assad's fingerprints on it.
Nothing gives a country more credibility than sneaking a few cruse missiles into a capital city.
This evidence coming from the NSA and CIA who know NOTHING about
Benghazi, but everything about Assad?
Plus Clapper from NSA got caught lying to Congress.
I don’t believe a word of it.
Excuse me? The question is not “what do we know” but “what are we going to do about it”? About what? Something we don’t know?
But then, all the Dems were told they’d have to vote for the Obamacare bill before they could know what was in it, so I guess this is cool with Dems - who unfortunately are the majority.
Bombing Syria without any support from any other country is about the dumbest thing they could do. So of course they’re going to do it.
“We will bomb in a manner reminiscent of Ghengis Khan”
“This will commence, on the Presidents order, upon my arrival on Nantucket for the Labor Day weekend. There is much work to be done on my yacht”
Obama realizes this is his last change to provoke Iran into attacking Israel to draw them into this mess.
Just because he said “facts” loudly doesn’t make them so.
It’s a DIVERSION from all the domestic scandals besetting this gang of criminals.
Hey, all you stupid low information voters. Don’t look there. Look at this shiny thing over HERE!
I dont know...hes saying the world has to do something. Sounds like theyre weasling out of it now to me (not that thats a bad thing.)
Fine, I agree with that, let the rest of the world do something for a change! Let the other countries sacrifice their young and waste their tax dollars. America has sacrificed enough. France is gung ho, let them go for it.
Its surreal. What could be next?
Why is evryone saying he made a case for attacking when Kerry said:
The president has been clear: Any action that he might decide to take will be limited and (sic) tailored response to ensure that, a despots brutal and flagrant use of chemical weapons is held accountable. And ultimately, ultimately we are committed — we remain committed, we believe its — the primary objective is (sic) to have a diplomatic process that can resolve this through negotiation, because we know there is no ultimate military solution.
It has to be political.
It has to happen at the negotiating table.
And we are deeply committed to getting there.
I was watching Kerry, a fly few on the screen, my firt thought was...Flies really are attracted to sh.it.
One of FOX’s mid-day “chicklets” must be in the bag for the Left - she said Kerry sounded presidential....look for another real FUBAR event if he or Zero have anything to do with the planning/ROE...I didn’t think anything would end up worse that Jimmuhs hosed attempt to rescue the hostages way back when, but we are now poised for a “perfect storm” with the current admin.
The U.S. is not going to bomb Syria.
The shadowy cabal of leftists who snuck Barry into office are going to.
