I am seriously thinking of having the following custom bumper sticker made. What kind of trouble does anyone think I can get into just by displaying this on my car?:
Sic semper tyrannis
I know little to no Latin, and so I can credibly plead ignorance to its meaning. The phrase mentions no one by name. Pretty nebulous, by any standard.
So, what say you? Am I asking for trouble? I would give my life to be used as the effective impetus of the Revolution, but how bad could this be for me?
BTW, it will be VERY LARGE LETTERS.
Lastly, would anyone else be interested in one, to defray the cost?
Very good LOL
Of course, that's what John Wilkes Booth said after he killed President Lincoln.
Ha! I did not know that, and I watched a lot of Seinfeld.
As Dana Carvey said while impersonating Johnny Carson, “That is weird, wild stuff. I did not know that”.
It means “Thus, always to tyrants.”
It is reportedly what John Wilkes Booth said after he shot Lincoln.
It would likely be taken as a call to assassinate the President.
I’d find something else, myself.
Thanks, but I live in the country, I don’t have a garage and my neighbor has more guns than me. Maybe cutting the barrel and front sight off an old .308 and installing it in the door as a peep hole will send the final message to move on.
That one I like! Think I gotta get one.....
