I’ll paraphrase.
Snot nose little kid with a gun and a badge pissed all over himself in fear and murdered a home owner and had to come up with a cover story fast.

Call a cop, call the pizza dude. The pizza dude will show up faster, shoot only the bad guy, and have a hot fresh pizza to boot.

Let me guess: The Blount County Sheriff’s Office will investigate the Blount County Sheriff’s Office and find that the Blount County Sheriff’s Office acted properly.

If officer saw the man he should have waited on back up. Having someone you can't see yelling commands at you does two things. It scares the crap out of you and if the commands are panicked you usually won't understand them.

Better communication was needed with owner if officer was going on property. Many persons including myself in these parts carry when we go outside the house especially at night. All East Tennessee counties have an over abundance of Yotes.

Oh & I'm over 50% hearing loss. But I'll know about anybody coming up my driveway long before they can even get out. I'm not in Blount county but I did have an officer come up one night unannounced. I was outside before he got stopped. We had a major communications issue because he was a K-9 unit and I had a nice big Lab.

After we got dogs to stop barking he said I called 911. I said no my phone is out of order. He left.

I went back in and picked the phone up. It was popping and clicking and by random chance like a rotary phone called 911. LOL. I realized the issue and called Sheriff's office back and said my phone line was doing it and gave them my cell number if it did it again to save them a trip back up in the sticks.

Deputy Ragland has been employed with the Blount County Sheriff's Office since December 2012. He is currently on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

Wow! This awesome! Only 22 YO, and 8 months on the job, and he's managed to bag his first civilian! Skipped right past the Dogs Level; he'll make Captain by 30, at this rate!

If a 22 year old doesn’t know to respect a man’s private property and not shoot a Sovereign Citizen, he has no business being a Peace Officer by virtue of incompetence.

Since there is no indication that he has been declared mentally incompetent, one must conclude that his department *trained* him otherwise.

Only government employees think they should be taken perfectly seriously when they suggest that the deaths of their employers should be treated lightly: “oopsies, NEXT time we’ll do better....”
