Companies from The Food Network to Walgreens, J.C. Penney, Smithfield Foods, and Wal-Mart terminated their relationships with Deen, and some experts believe the damage will be lasting.
The least they can do is apologize - publicly.

Doesn’t matter. 10 years from now the media will still be saying “Paula Deen’s racist remarks”

They don’t care and, frankly, I’m not interested in defending the rights of a liberal Dimocrat against the very people she’s supported with her money.

What a flattering photo they used
This woman has some nerve -
“”During a very difficult period in my life the Deen family gave me hope and the opportunity to work to build a brighter future for my family and me,” Jackson said in a statement to TODAY.
“I assumed that all of my complaints about the workplace environment were getting to Paula Deen, but I learned during this matter that this was not the case. The Paula Deen I have known for more than eight years, is a woman of compassion and kindness and will never tolerate discrimination or racism of any kind toward anyone. I now know that the workplace environment issues that I raised are being reviewed and will in the future no longer be at issue. I wish Ms. Deen and her family all the best in all of their future endeavors and I am very pleased that this matter has been now been resolved and can now be put behind us.””

I’m sure you can still get some of her stuff at Big Lots, Building 19, etc.

I guess if you are a Democrat and a friend of Obama you can get away with anything. She’s still a terrible person, and decent people won’t work for her. In a capitalist society, if you treat workers like dirt, you won’t have any, or you have to pay more.

The way Deen handled this in the public was pathetic. I wasn’t a fan either way with her. Now I am not for sure. She is a lib as well so ....bye bye Deen!

How can they let her off when according to the television show Law and Order SVU, she shot Trayvon Martin?
Law and Order SVU should have a sequel show called Law and Order SUV, where all the crimes are committed by people driving sports utility vehicles.

Paula is smart, savvy, a hard worker with an engaging personality.
I predict she will rise from the ashes like the Phoenix....and thumb her nose at her detractors when she again hits the Big Time and the Fortune 500 in the not too distant future.
We must never forget that famous quote from the Bible, or was it Shakespeare.....or Ben Franklin?....or maybe it was Scarlett O'Hara: "The South will rise again, y'all"

with no award of costs or fees to any party
So, Deen ends up the loser because of lost income and court costs, and had her reputation impugned by a gold-digger.
Jackson loses nothing, except her time and whatever she paid her attorney (who probably worked on contingency).
