The sister of alleged teen killer of the Australian baseball player, James Edwards, Rachel Padilla, appeared on CNN tonight. She gives off a strong whiff of denial.
I knew he had a Facebook page, but I never looked at it. And its hard to believe that he will bethat he would even put things on there like that.
CNN host Erin Burnett had read Padilla some of Edwards’ more offensive posts, and tweets.
In terms of speculation about Edwards racial motivation for committing the alleged crime, Padilla said I know that he has a lot of caucasian friends with whom he hangs with, and the only way that I would feel that he would say anything racist about anybody is because we have felt racism from some of the people here in the community. Given that Edwards is not believed to be the one who pulled the trigger, Padilla said she doesnt know why he has been charged with first-degree murder when he wasnt the one who shot and killed the guy.
Padilla admitted that her brother had been in trouble for fighting in the past, but maintained that hes never been a vicious person and she doesnt feel in my heart that he would go to such extents to take an innocent life.
He just liked to threaten to kill people on social networks.
She said as far as she knew, he was not associated with any gangs, but she did say he hung around older people that were affiliated with gangs.
If you’re a teenager and you hang around with older people who are in gangs, you usually end up in a gang, in prison, or dead. Or on a progression that includes all three.
One gets the impression that James Johnson, whose son was threatened by the trio that allegedly killed Chris Lane, is right: Edwards had no parental supervision. His family had very little idea of what their 15 year old was up to.
First we had the “Twinkie defense”.
Will we see the “purple drank” defense?
I've never understood the focus on "extenuating circumstances". He's a good boy. He goes to church. He's an honor student. He was turning his life around. He wanted to be a rap star.
I don't care. At all.
Blah blah blah...say goodbye to your brother.
I find people who like to fight, like to fight until the head gets handed to them. IOW, classic definition of a bully.
What happens when those who like to fight (e.g. Trayvon martin ) get killed by people defending themselves?
ANS: Obama calls them his son.
What??? No family to care for this thug!!! I thought Obama was his father!!! Some father that Obama dude!!! Wake up, America....time for Obama to be impeached!!!
...and denial still isn’t just a river in Egypt.
God can forgive anything and, perhaps, so can we, but we don't have to tolerate anything like that living among, and preying upon, the rest of us.
We need to state and restate that message with cases like this one. We owe it to ourselves and to those who might want to follow their examples into the pit of eternal fire.
As long as you feel it in your heart, facts need not interfere.
my favorite videos on youtube are the ones were a bully gets his ass kicked
There are two that stand out-
In one, a stupid little snot is picking on a much larger fat kid who quietly takes it, until the second time the kid smacks him in the face for no reason- then he picks him up and body slams him so hard- the little twerp gets up ang goes crying and limping away...
Then there is two chinese kids who pick on a white (french?) boy sitting by a tree reading. The one filming eggs-on the other guy who keep calling him a homo and “come here homo” and threatenting him until the kid stand up and actually walks over to him, then he gets too close and the kid does a brilliant roundhouse kick to his head that puts him on his ass. He wakes up about 5 seconds later looking like he had no clue where he was.
The french kid should have given the cameraman an ass kicking too.
He shot and killed an innocent man in cold blood.
That’s all anyone needs to know about him.
We seem to hear this story every time one of these alley rats gets killed.
He was a good boy—His grandmother loved him, blah blah.
They never tire of telling us what great fellows Trayvon and his hood brothers are./
My mother always told me you are judged by the company you keep.
Why, that sounds just like my Uncle Bob. When he wasn’t shit-faced drunk he was the soberest guy around!
When I was 15 and got bored, I’d ride my bike to the lake or I go to the bowling alley to play pinball.
Pretty sure I never thought to go out with friends and shoot at people.
Kill the thug, no rehab!
