The use of a stun gun on a person who is in danger of falling is not allowed to be used in Phoenix, Arizona. But that didnt stop officers from extricating a man from his roof by giving him a thorough tasering, followed by a choke drag face-down in order to rescue him. The father of the victim was a former detective who believes the police went too far.
44-year-old Michael Angel wasnt violent when he got up on the roof. Phoenix police arrived and initially tried to get him down, but then they suddenly rushed him and began tasering him. Angel jumped off the roof where police began dragging him face first down the stairs. Neighbors could hear the plop, plop, plop of his head as it rolled down the stairs face-first.
Angels father claims that he had some drug problems but was not a violent man. The deceased leaves behind two children.
Law abiding citizens better wake up and realize their law enforcers are no longer abiding by the law and hold them and their gov't masters accountable.
But the officers got to go home from their shift. That’s the important thing. /sarc
“But the officers got to go home from their shift. Thats the important thing. /sarc”
Reminds me of that old song ‘When the lights went out in Georgia’ (I think that’s the title), and the story goes: ‘He slapped the Sheriff on the back with a smile and said “supper’s waitn’ at home, and I gotta get to it”.
The Police State Loves You..... TO DEATH!!!
happening more and more.
The police just copying their govt. Laws? What laws?
Police taser a man off a roof, choke, drag him face-down on stairs, killing him
"The father of the victim was a former detective who believes the police went too far."
Ya think?
How’s his dog doing?
It seems Phoenix police are getting a bit overbearing.
Real humane of you fellas.
Guy wasn’t violent in any way. You don’t have negotiators?
You got some real soul there.
You couldn’t wait him out, wear him down til he got tired and saw you as a friend or someone of safe harbor?
You commited manslaughter at the minimum.
Jack Booted Thugs.
If the police can’t solve a problem with brute force, then they’ll find a way to fix it with brute force.
Ever since that idiot Bush II and his “Islam is a peaceful religion” speech, law enforcement in America has drifted further and further towards tyranny. And the TSA and NSA are even worse than these thugs. Obama has scourged America with scorpions and snakes where Bush II only used whips.
Hey. The cops went home safe.
RIP.
The author needs someone to go over his work before he hits “Enter.”
If the description is accurate.... YA THINK??
Sounds like some “rescue” mission, or not
The problem here was not danger, but probably impatience because they were near the end of the shift. /S
I’m not sure the /S is needed.
He wasn’t hurting anyone. The police weren’t in danger. There was no reason not to just leave him up there to come down on his own. Either he came down the same way he got up there or he jumps. Either way, he’d probably be alive, the kids would have a father, and the cops would have less paperwork.
Nothing to see here; just another Common Citizen dead at the hands of government employees.
Be thankful that you too, are not Served and Protected so!
