“Do they want to put an army of government bureaucrats in charge of our lives, or do they want to secure freedom and put us in charge of our health care and our lives?” Nashville Tea Party President Ben Cunningham said. “That’s the decision that Bob Corker and Lamar Alexander have to make.”
I think they have it backwards
They are worse than gutless cowards. They are collaborators.
Thats the decision that Bob Corker and Lamar Alexander have to make.
I believe that decisions belongs to us, the people, not our public servants.
While the House can pass a budget with no funds for Obamacare, it will face the same fate in the Senate, and the media will have a field day blaming republicans as the deadline for "government shutdown" approaches.
I suppose its worth a try, but I cannot see the Senate yielding to pressure when the forces at large are all arrayed against the House republicans. Reid would call Boehner's bluff and Boehner would fold because his heart isn't really in this anyway.
They lost touch with Tennessee folks quite a while back. I'm praying for a real alternative in the primary.
Tea Party and real conservatives recognize if ObamaCare is funded and allowed to start, we will be stuck with it forever.
The House must authorize funding. Send the continuing resolution and/or budget to the Senate with no ObamaCare money and do not allow any OC money on reconciliation talks. Anything else and we are doomed. Ir Obama & Reid push it to shutdown, make sure the public learns it was the Democrats fault.
And yet, Tennessee folks keep sending them back...
There's a technical term for that: Stupid.
georgias senators are no better.I hope they are next to be voted out.
You don’t have to be a “TEA Party Leader” (we have leaders??) to know those squishes are gutless.
No one has proposed shutting down the government
Cruz and Lee have both said they will vote for a CR (whatever happened to budgets?) without ObamaCare funding
I pray that our country can survive long enough to get these kinds out of office.
I have never voted for Lamar or Bob
I voted for Ed Bryant whan Bob first run
about that ad with rand Paul and Lamar fishing..
I heard on local radio this morning that Lamar did not have Sen Paul’s permission to use his image..
Sen Paul did not know Lamar was going to do that ..
Sen Paul has said since that he has not endorsed Lamar..
That’s the kind of dishonesty that we can expect from Lamar though..
“They are worse than gutless cowards. They are collaborators.”
The C’s of gop leadership:
Cringe
Cower
Capitulate
Cave
Cooperate
Collaborate

Bob Corker, not so much. It is still his first term. The option was John Ford, Jr. (D). Hopefully Corker will be one and done.
Lamar!
First time around he replaced Algore. So, yes he was an improvement then.
Second time around was the first time R's took control of the State House. No one ran against Lamar! in the primary. Our energy was focused on the State House and Senate.
Now we control the House and Senate. While we still have a few old rhino’s there we can now turn our focus to the U.S. house and senate.
N.B.: Lamar! is from his campaign graphics. I do not include the exclamation point in a nice way.
It is a shame our strategy has to be based around Boehner's being a gutless coward.
I sometimes wonder if the TEA Party’s only purpose is to keep us thinking that there’s a political solution to prevent the demise of our constitutional republic.
There isn’t a political solution.
