You're incorrect. The phrase "the lesser of two evils" is as old as the hills and was coined to describe situations such as exist in Egypt today where there are only two choices at the moment.
"Pick your poison" is also a handy phrase you may want to add to your vocabulary.
Why throw Mubarak into the equation....he's in jail on life-support, reportedly in a coma.
Right now, as Flaglady correctly stated, the military is the lesser of two existing evils, not three.

"We don't support any single party or group," Little said. "We believe that this needs to be resolved through political means."
Although the officials would not discuss the specifics of the military- to- military talks, the U.S. would need Gen al-Sisi's approval to move through Egyptian air space if Washington decided to send Marines to aid in the evacuation of U.S. personnel.
About 550 Marines and their tilt-rotor MV-22 Osprey aircraft are at bases in Spain and Italy on standby if they are needed. No, the MB and the military—especially since they are being led by generals picked by Morsi, especially Sisi—are an equal evils to each other. Sisi is a radical with a vision of turning Egypt into a ecclesiocratic military dictatorship. And it seems that the masses in Tahrir Square chanting “To Jerusalem we go, martyrs in the millions” have been quickly forgotten; one only has to go to Youtube to be reminded of just how Islamic the majority of Egyptians are.

What part of there are only two choices don’t you understand? There is no third option. However, there actually is one, further down the road. After the Egyptian army gets rid of the MB as much as possible, and bans them from politics, then there will be new elections in the future with an elected civilian gov’t taking over. It may take a while, to make sure the MB is irradicated as a political party, but it will happen.
Were the MB to be put back in charge, there would be no future elections at all. And that would guarantee another political revolution in the future. Endless turmoil for Egypt, or a sharia law dictatorship with no democracy in sight at all if the MB were to succeed in turning Egypt into an Islamic terrorist state. Now, stop being a contrarian with no answer or plan at all for Egypt. You just end up sounding like an ignoramous and a johnny one note.

That’s good to hear. As to Sisi, he may be calling some of the shots now (for someone whose leanings you say are radical Islamist, it’s funny how he is busy getting rid of the MB who are radical Islamists) but there are other army members also to keep each other in check. Eventually there will be new elections, minus the MB who will be banned as a political party. It’s almost immaterial what either of us thinks, as the ball is already rolling and it is merely a case of everyone waiting for the final outcome.

Maybe they're equal in an wishful ideological world in that all authoritarian governments are equally evil. That's a given.
But in Realville, Egypt, the two sides are not equally evil. The Muslims are on fiery, murderous rampages in the Christian communities as we speak. The military is not targeting Christians...only the Brotherhood terrorists.
The military will not tolerate the Muslim religious savagery such as beheadings, suicidal bombings, stoning and other abuses of women, etc. They have no history of this.
The Egyptian people simply want to get back to normal. For instance, being a nation of many shopkeepers and small entrepeneurs, these citizens want to get back to work so the tourists eventually return. A huge hunk of Egypt's economy depends on tourism.
Do you think the tourists would EVER return with the Muslim Brotherhood and Sharia law in control? Believe me, they'll take the Generals' interim governance any day over that of perpetual despotism by crazy Imams and their violent cultist followers.
No, the two sides may be not be to the liking of the free world, but only one is going to come out on top....and you can't use moral equivalency to put them in the same category, because they're not in this particular case.
Therefore, at this point, we are wise to side with the military, or at the least, keep our snoots out of the fray. The military will prevail in the long or short run, anyhow, you can rest assured.

Egypt will get a lot closer to that Mubarak-like state with the military running the show than with the MB running the show. It’s a moot point however, as the military is indeed running the show now. No choices to be had. The die is cast.
I don't care how evil you think the military leaders are, and I'm sure your dossier on them is correct, but they're going to be a helluva lot better for the Egyptian people to live under and to enjoy a return of stability than to try to live normally and ply their trades under the control of the crazy Muslim imams and jihadists.

And what I am telling you is that the military leaders are the same as the Muslim Brotherhood insofar as the pursuit of jihad. Remember that the people knew what the MB were all about and still voted for them; you don’t have a group around for decades and people not knowing exactly what they’re about, after all. There have been a number of anti-Morsi voices that have claimed that the reason Morsi was ousted was because he was not moving fast enough against Israel, believe it or not.
The Pentagon said they could only support a democratic process high-jacked by the MB. Kind of like being in lock-step with Obama’s rule by E.O. Both unintended consequences of electing people who never had an ounce of compassion for anyone other than themselves.

(Cackle)---Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and other self-styled "defenders of the oppressed" (who were in high dungeon when southern Black churches were burnt to the ground)---have uttered not a word about scores of Egyptian Christian churches being torched by the MB.
I guess Obumster told them to "cool it"---his MB pals might get a (cough) bad reputation.
