MULTAN: A 12-year-old girl was killed on Friday allegedly by her father for refusing to marry a man of his choice, police said. They said the girl’s body was found chopped into six pieces.
Police said Muhammad Khadim, 46, a resident of Khoja area in Shujabad, had accepted his nephew’s proposal for his daughter six months ago.
They said his sister and brother-in-law had been pressing him to arrange the wedding.
They said his daughter Haseena, who was studying in grade 6, did not want to marry. Some relatives said that she had requested her father to let her finish college, but he had refused.
They said her mother Shahnaz Bibi, too, was against the early marriage. They said she had argued with her husband over the matter and was beaten up for it. They said he had accused her of brainwashing their daughter.

Yet another example of ‘cultural’ differences. Had someone done that in my neighborhood, every parent would be out there hunting the guy down, and not to find him to deliver to police but to put the rabid beast down.
Police are investigating the matter, and her body has been sent to the medical examiner? What, so daddy can be graded on his work? Or so they can make sure he didn’t rape her as well which would likely be the only crime in the case as far as local police would be concerned.
Defending family honor against a twelve year old who doesn’t want to get married by chopping her into pieces is okay, but rapping someone other than your wife is a crime.. Well unless she asked for it by showing maybe an ear or wrist, or worse, an ankle.
Of course, you’ll not hear a peep of outrage from the usual suspects about the case. Wouldn’t want to be biased against a minority culture, right?
There was an earlier thread about the effects of inbreeding in Muslim society. Some expressed the opinion that the whole culture is clearly becoming insane as manifested in such practices as suicide bombing and “honor” murder.

Just think what that poor girl must be going through and just think how her experiences with her “hubby” will effect the way she views her children, especially her sons.
And these practices are daily perpetuated in that benign ROP producing a totally sick society, and then we let their members into our society to spread this horror.
