The state of Oregon has launched a discrimination investigation against a family bakery owned by Christians who refused to bake a wedding cake for a lesbian couple.
The Bureau of Labor and Industries will investigate whether Sweet Cakes by Melissa violated a 2007 law that protects the rights of gays, lesbians, bisexual and transgender people in employment, housing and public accommodations.
Aaron and Melissa Klein told Fox News they turned down requests to bake cakes for gay weddings because it goes against the Christian faith and their right to religious freedom.
I believe marriage is between a man and a woman, Klein said. I dont want to help somebody celebrate a commitment to a lifetime of sin.
The 2007 Oregon law provides an exemption for religious organizations and religious schools but does not allow private business owners to discriminate based on sexual orientation.
Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian told The Oregonian he is committed to a fair and thorough investigation to determine whether the bakery discriminated against the lesbians.....

So bake em one. Smile creepily as you give it to them. Say “here’s the cake you forced me to make, knowing I don’t like you”. Let their mind do the rest of the work.
Ive never understood the mentality of someone who uses THREATS to get you to cook something for them.
Think that one ALL the way through lesbos. The best you can hope for is an edible cake someone really doesn’t want to make for you. You didn’t get their best effort. And the worst you could get, I don’t even want to think about.
Morons.
As mentioned in related threads, not only have the states amended the Constitution to expressly protect religious expression as evidenced by the 1st Amendment, but the states have never amended the Constitution to protect so-called gay rights. So the State of Oregon seems to be in violation of Section 1 of the 14th Amendment for making a law which unreasonably abridges constitutionally enumerated rights.
I learned early on in the Army not to unnecessarily tick off the people who make your food, pay you and can put you in jail.

The entire homosexual agenda could be codified into law and these people would remain inherently miserable.
That was a different country.
Yep, two groups not to mess with in the military ... cooks and paymasters. ;-)
Homosexuals who keep to themselves are misguided, but these totalitarian bullies are pure evil. A government that would enforce such laws has no legitimacy. As for decent people, we no longer have any obligation to respond to gay activists honestly. We no longer have the freedom to politely refuse, so we should (and must) submit to their demands and then regretfully cancel at the last minute due to a conflict that we overlooked.
“Oh, dear, the ovens failed and there is no cake. We’ll refund your money in accordance with the contract” (and make sure there is no penalty in the contract that we ‘fully intended’ to fulfill).
“Sorry, but the reception venue is not usable due to a plumbing failure. I apologize, and you will of course receive a full refund.” (The hardware store receipt for a replacement drain pipe provides support for the necessity.)
It’s a shame for decent homosexuals to be inconvenienced, but with gay thugs setting up those businesspeople who have ethics, and with the government siding with those bullies, there may be no choice.
They need to be taught no one leaves their beliefs at the door of work and pick them up when they leave. If so, get those scarfs of the heads of those who wear them and they cannot use work time to sit on a rug or chant in the halls at work. These perverts aren't being discriminating against - they have a free will to go somewhere. Free will is one of their 'rights' that they are so concerned about - and they refuse to exercise it. A bakery is not hard to find. No one is stopping them but them.
“Tabasco sauce does the job just as well. Beautiful cake. 100 percent inedible.”
No, that’d get you sued. Go Alfred Hitchcock on them. Just smile creepily, and tell them “here’s the cake I baked because you threatened me that I had better”.
Let their own mind do all the work. They’ll make themselves ill thinking of what you must have done. Head games is where its at.
Trip and stumble as you are carrying it out,,and the only ready replacements on the shelf all have Christian themes. Etc etc...
Well put.
bump
I’d of baked a muff burger cake.
you vill comply mit your pink nazi Obersturmführers!!!!!! Or suffer the wrath of JugEars!!!
Oregon, a different dimension unto itself.
Yeah, an amazing concept this...er..”free enterprise”.
How long until it gets rediscovered?
why didnt they just go to a queer bakery?
= = = = = = = = = = = = = =
Maybe, just maybe, in Bum Fluke USA, a person who opens a bakery and loudly proclaims they are NOT STRAIGHT, may just not have enough business to keep the doors open - especially if the help is ‘prancing around’ and acting queer all the time....
Just sayin’.....
Yes it would! LOL
But some here have an even better idea. Bake them a cake, and when they pick it up, smirk at them and tell them you put all your "love" into the cake.
