CAVUTO: Why don't you like him?
LEVIN: It's not a matter of like, he is a Gerald Ford Republican. Despite all the huffing and puffing, your home state of New Jersey is still a financial disaster. Is he better than the Democrats that preceded him? Yes. What isn't and who isn't? I'm all for that. But he didn't sign on to challenge Obamacare. Why not? That was a free -- he didn't have to pay a cent to do that. In my view, he is weak on immigration reform, he's an amnesty guy. He's a greeny when it comes to the EPA. He just signed 10 out of 15 gun control laws.
CAVUTO: Well, he cut a millionaires tax and he submits smaller budgets each year.
LEVIN: I bet he's done ten great things, but he hasn't done enough. The point is, if we keep nominating Republicans, moderates from the Northeast, we're going to keep getting our lunch handed to us.

The Great One has spoken!
I thought McCain was from Arizona, and Bush 43 was from Texas. One data point (Romney) is hardly much of a pattern.
"The only one left standing who can honestly be said to share most of our conservative principles is Mitt Romney" -- Mark Levin, 2008
Don't go forgetting about ol' Bob Dole. Bob Dole's from Kansas... oh, nevermind.
Christie will not be the nominee.
” “The only one left standing who can honestly be said to share most of our conservative principles is Mitt Romney” — Mark Levin, 2008
I guess you missed one of the required “brain wipes”
I think the GOP should announce today that Christie is the Republican candidate for President. That way, there is a strong impetus for a third party, spearheaded by Sarah Palin to get the ball rolling.
I think the process calls for primaries first.
Bush and his family, have deep roots in the Northeast. McCain’s boarding (high) school was in the Northeast/Eastern Seaboard (Virginia).
One has to look further back than the states in which they politicked.
I’d say there is roughly equal non-zero probability of NJFatboy being the GOP Presidential nominee or the Democrat VP nominee.
In fairness, I think it was McCain vs. Romney at that point.
Bit like chosing herpes over AIDS. At least herpes is not fatal.
I’m listening to the talk show hosts and politicians etc. etc. but not swallowing it.
Good!—The Fat man will never be president unless he switches to the Democrat party—he’s half way their now. Enough RINOs! Conservatives must run and get elected over the nattering nabobs of the Press.
Don’t stop with Christie.
Include Rubio and Jeb Bush, too. Probably several more names can be added to that list.
Otherwise, it will be more of the same.
Fat boy should run as a Democrat. He’s as phony as Barry Soetoro.
However, if you must have a nickname for him, try "Pantload." Whatever he weighs, that would fit.
I think Romney would have beaten McCain if Huckabee who had no chance to get the nomination would of dropped out in 2008 and I think that Santorum could of beaten Romney in 2012 if Gingrich had dropped out before the Michigan primary.
I think Huckabee and McCain made some sort of deal. As far as Newt staying in, I dont have a clue.
Everybody on here blames the establishment, but the fact is the moderates in the Republican party (a minority) solidify around a moderate candidate while the conservatives split among 2 (or more) candidates, savage each other’s choices until it is too late, then bitch about how the “GOPe” picks the candidate.
Even In NJ I wonder if they prefer Lonegan to be the national candidate even if Christie were available.
Christie won’t be the nominee. He can only run on gay marriage and tax cuts. More illegals are going to be committing horrific crimes in NJ between now and the while Christie does nothing.
Tancredo and then Romney in 2008 were attacking the failure of Booker, Christie and Corzine with the triple killing in Newark.
He’ll be lucky to get slim without some other health complication. He’ll be back to being a lard azz in no time.
