CNN did its own research ... this from today’s RCP:
CNN’s Athena Jones investigates if Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is eligible to run for president. CNN says the “natural-born citizen” question is dogging Cruz. For the record, CNN said every constitutional law expert they interviewed for said Cruz is a natural-born citizen and eligible to be president.
Sounds to me like he’s eligible.
This debate allows for questioning of whether Hussein was qualified for the office in the first place, doesn’t it?
He’s just as qualified as Obama. Period. The End.
“For the record, CNN said every constitutional law expert they interviewed for said Cruz is a natural-born citizen and eligible to be president.”
That’ll reverse once he announces a run.
Funny, isn’t it how the corrupt MSM goes all investigative on Republicans like Cruz, or the dozen reporters investigating Palin’s book, but ridicules Republicans for even possibly being a “crazy birther”.
See how that works?
No, that would be racist to include his majesty.
I read the other day (here) that he was born in Canada.
Probably, this is just the MSM going tit-for-tat
Uh, is still a law? Or just another thing to disregard. How come Republicans have to follow the law and morality to the letter and Democrats ignore both with no penalty?
The commies are afeared, powerful afeared.
CNN thinks Cruz running for president would be good for ratings.
Ah, CNN.
On the page with story, they have a “recommended reading” link to this gem (and other, similar, earth-shaking news): Justin Timberlake responds to ‘Take Back the Night’ controversy.
How can anyone possibly take them seriously?
Their OWN researcher admits that he is for all intents and purposes eligible!.....this is just media preventive action to try and keep him undesirable to key areas that have influence in early presidential politics (e.g., IOWA, etc.). Although there is no ‘there’ there, the mere asking of the question suits their purpose. Just like it does with all this bullsh!t hype for Hillary.
This is just the other side of the Hillary Mini-series promotion by IIRC CNN or some company owned by CNN or both owned by someone else..... essentially free campaign in-kind contributions for a b!tch that has not even officially declared candidacy.
In a country that is truly run by the rule of law, CNN would be barred from this type of reporting. As it is, CNN is nothing more than a DNC mouthpiece, and not one of their personnel have the moral right to call themselves ‘journalist’.
Why wasn’t the chicken Democrat media interested in finding out whether Barry Soetero was eligible to be president after being an official “foreign student” for years?
Sure is interesting who suddenly decides eligibility is important.
According to Wikipedia, he was born here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1970. His parents both worked in the oil patch, so they must have been posted to Calgary at the time of his birth. His mother was born in Delaware and his father was born in Cuba, moved the the US in 1957 and become a citizen in 2005. Not sure of how the ‘natural born citizen’ rule works in this situation. I’ll leave it to greater constitutional minds to figure this out.
I would not be surprised if CCCPNN included the details from constitutional experts to ensure that whatever may leak about 0bama, they can claim that he is eligible, citing the example of Ted Cruz.
Now, Sarah Palin - I'd vote for her in a heartthrob. :-)
