Tunes For The Troops
**Artist Showcase** Jamiroquai are a British acid jazz band formed in 1992. Fronted by lead singer Jay Kay, Jamiroquai were initially the most prominent component in the early-1990s London-based acid jazz movement, alongside groups such as Incognito, the James Taylor Quartet, and the Brand New Heavies. Subsequent albums have explored other musical directions such as pop, rock and electronica. Their best known track is "Virtual Insanity", which won four awards at the 1997 MTV Video Music Awards. Jamiroquai have sold more than 40 million albums worldwide and won a Grammy Award in 1998.

Good evening, Ma.
It’s so nice to see you!
no, I did not have the day off..sigh.
All critters are doing well.
Mr B is fine, and keeping very busy with several bands
he is in, aside from The Cats.
The Cats just got done doing The Rockland Blues Festival, and were a great hit!

Although it won the Oscar for Best Film in 1969, it's either forgotten or misunderstood today. Dustin Hoffman stretched his acting muscles, and Jon Voight made a fine splash.
Some of the best work was done by the character actors like Brenda Vaccaro and John McGyver. It's a beautiful film and a very strange love story. When Ratso dies on the bus at the end, it just breaks your heart.
Today Voight is on Showtime's "Ray Donovan" playing a professional criminal with minimal social skills who steals every scene he's in. He's a lovable rogue, but you know he's a real lowlife and incredibly dangerous.

I’m glad you posted “Anna”. Few other than perhaps Fiji Hill would remember that hit from 1947.

I've been recollecting the American composers: Foster, Gottschalk and Joplin. Then there were Rachmaninov, Chopin and Brahms. Then there were the Fathers of Hot Country. Then there were the Brill Building composers. Then there were Jimmy Webb, PF Sloan, Phil Ochs and others.
Have I been doing this for the past three years? Jeez, how time flies.
